The Pizza Boys Bicester will be firing up their ovens at Pattishall Parish Hall TONIGHT for our latest Pattishall Parish Street Food Night! 🍕🔥🍺

✅ PATTISHALL PLAYING FIELDS & CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUND – NOW OPEN ✅

We are pleased to confirm that Pattishall Playing Fields and the children’s playground equipment reopened at approximately 4pm yesterday afternoon and are once again open for everyone to enjoy.

The unauthorised campers have now moved on, with some assistance from Northamptonshire Police.

A parish council representative also attended the site and met with members of the Committee yesterday. Following a thorough litter pick and close inspection of the whole grounds, we were satisfied that the Playing Fields and playground could safely reopen to the public.

A big thank you to Pattishall Parish Council for attending yesterday afternoon to clean the children’s play equipment, and to all those on the Hall & Playing Fields Committees who have spent the last couple of days helping to deal with this unwanted and unfortunate situation and getting the facilities ready to reopen.

Hirers of the Hall and Playing Fields will be contacted directly regarding access to the car park.

Finally, thank you to everyone across Pattishall Parish for your understanding, patience and cooperation while we dealt with the situation. It is greatly appreciated.

Following our update yesterday regarding the unauthorised encampment on Pattishall Parish Playing Fields, we regret to advise that 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗗 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀.

The entrances to the Playing Fields and playground have been taped off, the majority of the children’s play equipment has also been taped off and the car park barrier remains locked.

The situation is being actively dealt with and the relevant authorities have been informed and are aware, including:

Northamptonshire Police
Pattishall Parish Council
West Northamptonshire Council

The Playing Fields are also subject to a 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 (𝗣𝗦𝗣𝗢). We understand that Pattishall Parish Council is notifying the relevant WNC officers of the current circumstances at the site so that any appropriate action can be considered.

We appreciate how disappointing and inconvenient the closure will be, particularly during the school summer holidays, but 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻, 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁.

We hope that the situation can be resolved as quickly as possible and that the Playing Fields and playground can then be inspected and reopened for the community.

We will provide a further update as soon as there is a meaningful change in the situation.

We are aware that a group has set up tents and is currently camping without permission on Pattishall Parish Playing Fields.

Representatives of the Playing Fields Association have spoken to those involved and asked them to leave the site.

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲’𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆, 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱. One of the occupants has behaved in an aggressive and confrontational manner when approached.

The situation is being dealt with and we hope that the Playing Fields will be vacated shortly.

The Playing Fields remain available for normal community use, but we would ask visitors to please keep their distance from the encampment in the meantime.
