In our attempt to preach or teach on spiritual warfare we must be careful not to exalt the devil & demonic activities while we undermine and downplay the immeasurable greatness of God & His thoughtful love and care for us!
For instance when we study the life of Joseph in the Old Testament well there’s not a mention of the devil or demons in anything that happened to him
There’s not a mention of Joseph engaging in a “deliverance or spiritual warfare” to cancel the curse of “bad luck or unfortunate circumstances”
Every lie told on him, every betrayal, every disappointment, every detachment he experienced was ALL allowed, permitted & used by God so that what He said He would do with Joseph would happen despite the wickedness of men!
Joseph wasn’t arrogant and talked too much like some have said or preached rather his verbal acknowledgment & announcement of that the Lord showed him in a dream activated the process by which he ended up in the land he’d eventually lead; where what he was shown would become a visible touchable reality.
Yes we understand that Potiphar’s wife coming after him for sexual pleasure is a typology of the devil offering fake glory through temporary fleeting pleasure a.k.a COMPROMISE for what’s eternal, divine & priceless, but no where is it mentioned that Joseph went into a “spiritual warfare” prayer to avert or cancel this rather it was all a tool in the hand of the Lord to ensure the very dream Joseph was going to be killed for but eventually sold into slavery for comes to pass
Am I saying there’s no such thing as spiritual warfare? Absolutely not!
However I’m saying what you call warfare is actually you ENFORCING THE VICTORY you already have in Christ as the scriptures reveal to us!
I’m saying you are NOT at the mercies of the devil
And the devil doesn’t have the power nor the authority to do just about anything to you or with you!
STOP GLORIFYING the devil & demonic activities!
The main & the greatest weapon the devil uses against you is IGNORANCE!
Ignorance of who you are in Christ
Ignorance of what’s already yours in Christ
Ignorance of how deeply thoughtful the Lord is about your existence
Ignorance of the fact that what often opens the door to the enemy is your ignorance and a continuous lifestyle of sin!
A whole lot of the things happening to you are NOT demonic attacks or activities only if you’d see through the eyes of God
You don’t need another dramatic deliverance session but rather need your spiritual understanding to come alive so you may KNOW that ALL THINGS ARE WORKING TOGETHER FOR YOUR GOOD, including the very things that men or the devil meant for evil!
No altar in father’s or mother’s family or house sent Jesus to the cross or caused Judas to betrayal him, it was DIVINE PUPOSE, it was DESTINY in GOD that played out ensuring that that which the Lord has spoken ahead happens as it is written!
