The Daisy Garland A family-run, national, registered children’s charity working exclusively for children with epilepsy.

The Daisy Garland was set up in 2004 in memory of our daughter Daisy. Daisy was diagnosed with severe myoclonic epilepsy when she was 5½ months old, and later various tests confirmed that she had Dravet Syndrome. For almost two years we battled with one anticonvulsant drug after another, each drug took Daisy further away from us and brought with it more seizures and unwanted side-effects. In 2000

we discovered the Ketogenic Diet, a drug-free treatment, which gradually reduced the severity and frequency of Daisy’s seizures. Sadly Daisy died from SUDEP (sudden unexpected death in epilepsy patients) three days after her 6th birthday.

Will you WALK4DAISY this Summer?

Your walk can be held at any time this Summer and tailor-made to suit the ages and abilities of the walkers in your group at a location of your choice - why not go to your local park, beach, forest or moor!

We are a small charity with huge impact! We support 1,000+ families whose children suffer from drug-resistant epilepsy. Every penny raised/donated from this event will go towards funding our family support programme including life-saving night-time monitors, wrap-around ketogenic diet therapy support, our Green Shoots gardening project, mindfulness courses and retreats and Time4Me support groups.
