Thank you so much for everyone that took part in the Picnic in the Park today on the hottest day of the year! It was a great day with lots of talent from singing to dancing! Without the sponsor EMR this community event would not take place. A big thanks to them for their kind donation. I would like to thank the Tilbury Riverside Project’s fantastic volunteers for all their hard work.

Tomorrow is forecasted to be hot and sunny, so please remember to Slip in a shirt, Slop on suncream, and Slap on a hat.

Don’t forget your picnic and bring drinks to keep hydrated, but remember, no alcohol.

Just 3 more sleeps to the Picnic in the Park on the Anchor Fields on Thursday. The weather is looking hot and sunny, so please remember to Slip, Slop, Slap (slip on a shirt, slop on sun cream and slap on a hat) and perhaps an umbrella to shade under. All the fun starts at 12 noon, see you all there.

A big thanks to the Youth Zone team, who have been working with us to make sure the Picnic in the Park will happen this year! They have kindly contributed to the day, covering the cost of First Aid and Face Painter and providing the electricity for the stage from the construction site. Some of the team and young people will also be joining us on the day to run free activities for children. THANKS SO MUCH!
