Tilbury Together: Living Voices, Lasting Change — a community-led research project led by Arts Outburst working with local residents to understand experiences of employment, wellbeing and community in Tilbury. The project is designed to ensure that local voices directly inform future services, opportunities and investment in the area. With recent developments and funding focused on Tilbury, this insight is particularly timely and important. We’re now moving into the delivery phase and are looking for local residents (particularly residents who have experience of being unemployed) o come on board as paid Peer Researchers.
What do Peer Researchers do?
You’ll be conducting surveys with local people, about their opinions on, and experiences of unemployment and employment in Tilbury.
Who designed the survey?
The survey was designed by local residents.
Where will I conduct the surveys?
We will be conducting the surveys at community events, public spaces and anywhere where Tilbury residents will be - outside Asda, etc.
What are the positives about being a Peer Researcher?
You’ll get a reference for future employment
You’ll gain transferable skills like communication, teamwork and interviewing.
