Our vetted community carers can assist with:

At Age Concern Gillingham, providing high-quality, professional care is at the heart of what we do.

We are proud to be a CQC registered care service, giving our community confidence that our care operates within the standards and regulatory framework set by the Care Quality Commission.

We are currently awaiting our CQC rating, which we will share once it has been issued.

Our homecare services are delivered in partnership with Longfield Polyclinic, helping us provide professional care and support to those who need it.

The Clarendon Royal is also about bringing people together. Our bar, café, restaurant, weddings and functions are managed in partnership with Riviera Hospitality, creating a welcoming community environment for everyone to enjoy.

We support older people and those living with dementia, providing opportunities to socialise, enjoy activities and make new friendships in a welcoming and supportive environment. ❤️

Our Dementia Cafés offer a friendly, relaxed and welcoming environment for people living with dementia, their carers, family members and friends. 💙

We know that living with dementia can sometimes feel isolating, which is why our cafés provide a safe and supportive space to meet others, share experiences, enjoy refreshments and make new connections. 💕

“I'm fine” can be a quick answer when someone has had a difficult week.
This World Mental Health Day, make time for a proper chat with an older friend, relative or neighbour.

Pop round for a cup of tea if you can.
Talk about everyday things.
Give them time to tell you how they really are.

And if you are the one having a difficult week, please tell someone.
You deserve that same care and time.

You don’t need a dementia diagnosis to take proactive steps.

MCST – Maintenance Cognitive Stimulation Therapy, is designed for anyone experiencing memory problems, whether or not they have received a formal dementia diagnosis.

Led by qualified facilitators in a specialist therapy centre, MCST provides a warm and welcoming environment where you can:

🧠 Keep your mind active through cognitive stimulation
🤝 Connect with others who understand similar experiences
💬 Take part in engaging, facilitated sessions
💙 Take proactive steps if you’re concerned about changes to your memory

Our sessions are particularly suited to people who have noticed memory problems and want to do something positive and proactive.

There’s no need to wait for a formal dementia diagnosis to find out whether MCST could be right for you.

For many families, respite isn’t a luxury. It’s a lifeline.

It can mean time to rest and recover. Time to maintain caring relationships. And the support needed to help someone continue living independently for longer.

But for too many people, the cost of respite means that vital break simply isn’t possible.

That’s why we’re launching a £100,000 Respite Fund to help sponsor stays for people who cannot afford them.

The fund will help provide everything from short 24-hour respite breaks to longer periods of support, giving people access to safe, high-quality accommodation and care when they need it most.

And we need your help to make it possible.
