When children can’t learn, it’s rarely just an education issue. It's about a series of challenges that require integrated approaches to address barriers that keep children from learning.

Through the HGSF programme, we are linking school meals and literacy support to improve education outcomes. When nutrition, health, and education are addressed together—and with strong local leadership—results are more sustainable.

Every child needs enough to eat and deserves to have an education! We're proud to serve daily school meals in 16 schools in the North West Region of Cameroon, benefitting over 2,122 children 🍽️📚

These meals are more than just food; they’re a lifeline that keeps vulnerable children from having to work or beg for their next meal.

Access to education is a right to be enjoyed by every child but not all are able to attend school. While there are many factors contributing to this, HUNGER is one of such. At Community Vision Group - CVG, we help to break this barrier of classroom hunger and we're proud of the difference we're making.

In GBS Fonfuka, one of the primary schools in the conflict-affected North West Region of Cameroon, our school meals programme attracted additional 20 children to school. When asked about the pull factor, CVG DAILY MEAL at school was the incentive.

At Community Vision Group, we believe every child deserves enough food to eat and the chance to learn!

With your incredible support, we are now reaching more than 2000 children across 16 schools, helping to nourish both minds and bodies in schools and communities.

Together, we’re reducing hunger, increasing enrolment and improving attendance, focus, energy levels, and progression through education.

As we commemorated the International Day of the African Child on 16th June 2026, we were inspired by Victory’s story — a powerful testament to resilience, determination, and the transformative power of education.

Living in Cameroon’s North West Region, Victory, 9, has overcome significant challenges to access education, a fundamental right that every child deserves. Her journey highlights both the barriers many children face and the life-changing impact of sustained support.

Through our Home-Grown School Feeding Programme, implemented with the support of Rise Against Hunger, thousands of children like Victory receive daily nutritious meals that help them stay in school, learn effectively, and build brighter futures.

Today, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
