As its Halloween tonight, if you look across to Worms Head you might be lucky to spot our resident dragons making merry. Just don't get too close.

Please note that with the earlier dark evenings, a number of Causeway closing are in the dark.

We at NCI Worms Head are thankfully, not on our own when it comes to looking after the public. We work alongside Horton and Port Eynon RNLI, Burry Port RNLI and Rhossili Coastguard Cliff Rescue Team.
In the video you see people who have become stranded on Worms Head being brought back to the mainland by the Horton Lifeboat and dropped at the building called Kitchen Corner. Waiting for them are the crew in blue from the Rhossili Coastguard Cliff Rescue Team to assist them ashore.
We all work together for the safety of the public.

From today, October 26th, our Station hours are 10am until 5pm.

Now that the winds have calmed a little from yesterday, we can show the wind speeds we encountered during the day.
We had wind speeds of 67 knots or 77 miles per hour, and It was gusting slightly above that on times. So right up in Hurricane force.
We were on duty right through it, trying to ensure the public are kept safe.

Update on the Lightship LV91. The West Helwick that used to be moored 4 miles off our Station on the edge of the Helwick sandbank.
What a transformation she is being given. Will be lovely to see her back in the Swansea Marina.
