Thank you to everyone that messaged us with concern and sadness that we had some of our tools stolen.

We have received 3 of our spades back and one young lad was very brave and came to apologise.

I shook his hand and told him it took a lot of courage to come and face me and thanked him for that. I explained everything that goes on in the veg garden and how many we have supported with fresh vegetables.

I hope he went away knowing he did the right thing.

To the not so wonderful person/ persons that that stolen the Veg gardens tools from Birchgrove Community Garden.
PLEASE RETURN THEM.
You have not only stolen from the veg garden you have stolen from those that desperately need our support by providing them with fresh vegetables. What we grow is for Birchgrove Community Foodbank. If you have suddenly received large garden spades and forks please return them before we contact the police.❗❗
