We're very grateful to Pontardawe Town Council for awarding the Trust a generous £1,000 grant to help with our running costs this year, especially as the building was closed for a period in 2025 - 26 while conservation work was underway. The support is greatly appreciated as we move forward with our community events programme and our work to maintain and preserve Llangiwg for the future. Diolch yn fawr iawn!

Llangiwg Church is open next Monday, May 4th, for our annual Calan Mai event, this year featuring presentations by Pembrokeshire writer Tim Sime and by Pam Evans MBE, founder of the multi award winning educational project Peace Mala. In Tim's talk we'll learn about his 20-year engagement with a spiritual teacher from the Himalayas, whose visits to west Wales led to a deepening connection with St David and the Age of Saints, while Pam will be reading from her book on the remarkable life of Russian-born Helena Blavatsky, founder of the Theosophical Society, whose work was deeply influenced by the wisdom of the East. Complimentary interval refreshments and (weather permitting) poetry reading around the churchyard afterwards. All very welcome!
