Today, our young people stepped out of their comfort zones and headed to the to give Zumba a go! 🎶

There was plenty of laughter, lots of energy and we certainly worked up a sweat trying to master the dance moves! 🥵😂

Could you help us raise awareness of Swansea Bloom and strengthen our links within the local community?

We're looking for someone who enjoys networking, building positive relationships and discovering opportunities to collaborate with other organisations.

You could help us connect with local authorities, schools, clubs, community groups and societies, sharing information about our service, learning about what others offer and exploring ways we can work together.

We're looking for someone to support our social media channels by creating engaging and meaningful content, monitoring platforms, tracking engagement and analysing insights to help us reach wider audiences.

💚 Make a Difference – Volunteer with Swansea Bloom! 💚

Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a positive difference in your community? We're looking for enthusiastic, friendly and reliable volunteers to join our Swansea Bloom Service in Penlan!

How can you help?

Our volunteers play an important role in helping our group activities run smoothly. You could be involved in:

🌟 Planning and supporting fun, engaging activities

🌟 Setting up and packing away sessions

🌟 Preparing refreshments and creating a welcoming environment

🌟 Gathering feedback from young people

🌟 Supporting the team with a variety of practical tasks

📅 Availability: Ideally Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Fridays.

Whether you're looking to gain experience, develop new skills or simply give something back, we'd love to hear from you!

🦖 A little nostalgia on Cultural Friday! 🍰

One of our Young Leaders got creative in the kitchen last week, serving up a British school dinner classic – dino mash and old-school cake! 😋

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the biggest hits, and our young people absolutely loved it!

Cultural Friday takes place once a month at Bloom, giving our young people the opportunity to explore different foods, traditions and cultures.

And who says a good old-fashioned British school dinner isn't cultural? 💚

We are incredibly proud to announce that our Bloom Volunteer Team has been named the Cymru (Wales) Regional Winner of the Barnardo’s Marsh Trust Children’s Services Volunteer Team of the Year Award 2026! 🎉

With a record number of nominations received this year, this is an incredible achievement and wonderful recognition of the time, commitment and passion our volunteers bring to Bloom.

Our volunteers play such an important part in what we do, giving their time, sharing their skills and helping us create positive experiences and opportunities for the young people we support. 💚

Sophia brings so much dedication, enthusiasm and care to her volunteering. Whether she’s supporting activities, helping behind the scenes or sharing her skills with our young people, she is always willing to get involved and make a difference.
