We kicked off Carers Week last night with a fantastic evening at Tonna Rugby Club. Thank you to everyone who joined us, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. A special thank you to the Mayor and Mayoress of Neath for attending, as well as to Scott, the man with the big voice, for his fabulous entertainment. And of course, thank you to the legendary Captain Beanie, who brought so much fun to the evening.

NPT Carers Service is delighted to celebrate Carers Week 2026, which is running from 8th-14th June.

Carers Week 2026 is a vital opportunity for us all to play a positive role in building truly carer-friendly communities. It encourages us to recognise unpaid carers and consider how we can better support them.

We have set up a timetable of events and hope you will be able to join us:

Next week, we're delighted to welcome Judith Storey, Clinical Psychologist, who will be delivering her "It's Not Challenging Behaviour" workshop for registered parent carers.

This informative and thought-provoking session will explore the reasons behind behaviours that can be difficult to understand and manage, helping parents and carers develop greater insight, confidence, and practical strategies to support their children.

We look forward to what promises to be a valuable and engaging workshop.
