We’re delighted that our wonderful Amman Valley Fire Crew have kindly rearranged their visit to join us for today’s Pumpkin Trail!

We know emergency duties must always come first, so a HUGE thank you to the crew for making the extra effort for our local families! ❤️

MEET OUR SPEAKERS joining us for tomorrow's screening of Fantastic Fungi: James Scrivens is based at Coed Talylan a community woodland project near Llangadog. As well as teaching people how to grow mushrooms, he is helping develop schemes that use fungi to support horticulture and woodlands. Hywel Evans teaches fungi identification and has worked with the National Botanical Gardens of Wales and Plant Life on fungi-related projects. Bring your fungi and mushroom related questions! 🚒 IMPORTANT UPDATE – FIRE SERVICE & POLICE VISIT 🚓

Unfortunately, our planned visit from the Amman Valley Fire Service to Hwb y Gors today (Tuesday 27 October) has had to be cancelled.

We’re sorry for any disappointment, especially for our younger visitors who were looking forward to exploring the fire engine!

🚲 BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS… OUR POLICE BIKE SECURITY MARKING IS STILL GOING AHEAD!

Our local Police officers will still be joining us to offer FREE bike registration and security marking, helping to keep your bikes safe from theft.

Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to welcome the Fire Service back another day! 🚒

🍄 🍄‍🟫 It's been an amazing autumn for fungi - all kinds have been springing up in places they haven't been seen before. 🍄 🍄‍🟫 Our film this Wednesday takes us deep into the world of these extraordinary organisms. We will be joined by two experts - James Scrivens from Coed Talylan whose work includes Farming with Fungi and the 'Refungium', a long-term woodland project that places fungi at the centre of habitat restoration; and mycologist Hywel Evans.
