We also had a pirate themed session (ooh arr) supported by "Tuned In" Community Band, thanks guys ♥️ food from Social Chef and fab activities from Roker URC Children and Families and support from Friends of the Drop In - Sunderland

📢Falls prevention awareness📢

Today the team from Sunderland City Council visited our Midweek Movers exercise session to raise awareness of "steady on your feet," a free digital platform to help older adults stay active, build balance, and reduce the risk of falls 👏👏👏

The platform provides resources, and advice and guidance, alongside a tailored action plan:

The team had a great day at the Unity in the Community event.
The atmosphere was truly special and the Minster was literally packed to the rafters.
Community is in the heart of everything we do and this event was such a joy to be part of.

Our garden gives us treasures all year round.
In August we have an abundance of rosehips and a few roses are still flowering for a future bounty.
Rosehip syrup is such a fantastic thing to make.
Nature's larder is right on our doorstep and we love it 🌹 🌹 🌹 💕

This Saturday coming we are part of this fantastic event.
Our team will be there so come and say "hello" at our stall.
Social Chef will be providing delicious food and we will also be delivering a Laughter Yoga session.
Come along and enjoy Music, food from different Cultures and plenty of activities for the family 🎨 🎭🎶 🎵 🥣
It is absolutely FREE!!

We had a fantastic time at Calming Crafts creating cards inspired by the Ox-Eye daisies in the garden.
Using techniques such as embossing, watercolours and stamping.
The group also finished off their seaside themed decoupaged shells and tea light holders from a previous session.
