At Redhouse Boys & Girls Club, boxing is about so much more than winning fights, collecting trophies or producing champions. It’s about changing lives.
We’re looking for passionate, dedicated people to join our coaching team as we continue to grow.
But there’s something we need to make very clear from the start…
❤️ OUR CHILDREN NEED PEOPLE WHO SHOW UP.
Not just when it’s convenient. Not just when life is going well. Not just for the exciting moments.
They need people who are consistent. People they can trust. People who believe in them, encourage them and are there week after week.
Our Head Coach, Frankie, has shown up for 9 years. Through everything life has thrown at him, he’s continued to turn up for the young people and adults who depend on him.
That’s the level of commitment we’re looking for.
🥊 IT’S ABOUT MORE THAN BOXING.
The reality is that very few children who walk through our doors will go on to become professional boxers or win major championships.
But every single one of them can leave with something that changes their life.
Boxing teaches discipline, respect, resilience, confidence, self-belief and emotional control.
It teaches children how to handle disappointment, overcome challenges, manage their emotions, work towards goals and get back up when life knocks them down.
For some children, the boxing club is their safe place. Somewhere they feel accepted, understood and valued.
And sometimes, having just one adult who consistently believes in them can make all the difference.
❤️ WE WANT TO INVEST IN YOU TOO.
As our organisation continues to develop, we want the people who help us build it to grow alongside us.
For those who demonstrate genuine commitment, we aim to invest in their development through boxing coaching qualifications, training, mentoring and opportunities to progress.
As we grow, there may even be opportunities for paid employment in the future, although this cannot be guaranteed.
But we want to be absolutely clear…
If your main motivation is money, recognition, glory or producing champions for your own reputation, we’re probably not the club for you.
We’re not looking for people who want the title of coach without the commitment that comes with it.
We’re looking for people with heart. People who are willing to learn, work as a team, give their time and genuinely care about making a difference.
You don’t have to know everything about coaching from day one. Skills can be taught. Qualifications can be earned.
But passion, compassion, reliability and genuine commitment to young people must come from you.

* Want to develop their coaching skills.
* Believe in teamwork, respect and inclusion.
* Understand that success isn’t always measured in medals.

One day, a child might forget the combinations you taught them or the fights they won.
But they’ll remember the coach who believed in them when nobody else did.
They’ll remember the person who showed up.
That’s the kind of legacy we want to build at Redhouse.
