💡Maker in the Spotlight 💡

This is Kate Crafty Pear our lovely and very talented fused glass artist.
“Hi
I’m Kate and the creator behind Craftypear Dorset.
I am passionate about anything glass and have spent the last few years creating fused glass and copper foiled gifts. I originally started with glass blowing (after attending a course) but couldn’t bring the furnace home 😝. I then explored copper foiling and fused glass. I’m inspired by nature and colour and love how versatile glass can be. I tend to have several projects on the go.
I’m happy to take on commissions, working closely with the customer to ensure final piece is what is wanted.
I make everything from my studio ( garden shed) but have also taught small groups in their homes. As well as selling my work at the fabulous 1855 in Stur, I sell at many local fairs”.
