OPEN Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holiday Monday in AUGUST! Unfinished Neo-Gothic Architectural Masterpiece Hidden in The Cotswolds.

Family Friendly/Event Space/Dog Friendly Cafe Woodchester Mansion is a 19th Century Victorian Gothic Masterpiece mysteriously abandoned mid-construction in 1873. Hidden in a secluded Cotswold valley, it is untouched by time and the modern world. This Grade 1 Listed Building has been saved from dereliction, but will never be completed. That’s it! The season is over… 😞

We’ve closed our doors for 2026, but what a year we’ve had!

As the winter months creep in, our staff and volunteers hunker down for a well-deserved break. We’re busy planning for 2027, and we can’t wait to welcome visitors, old and new, when we reopen in the spring.

'It was the first visit for me with my grandchildren and they absolutely loved it. The highlight was the cellar, the witch and the grim reaper were amazing and the rooms were decorated brilliantly, we had to visit twice as my grandchildren were in awe of it all. They are already asking to return next year!'

Uh oh, we may have outdone ourselves with Spooky Cellars this year- we promised it’d be back better than ever and you all agree! 👻 Feedback has been fantastic, you thrill seekers are loving it!

However, we would like to draw attention to our living props! 🧛 This year we have a variety of characters visiting the cellars and this may be extra spooky for some. If you aren’t keen on people dressed up, ask a volunteer where they are so you can avoid them or get stuck in with our pumpkin trail instead 🎃 There really is something for everyone this Halloween at Woodchester Mansion!
