We love seeing the happiness our four-legged visitors bring to our residents and day centre clients 💛🐾
From Bryn the therapy dog brightening up the Cotswold Unit, to pup Saffie the Staffy having cuddles in our Day Centre. We also bid a fond farewell to Jackie and Ivy whose final visit was very special indeed. A little wag of a tail can go a long way in lifting spirits 🐶✨

A huge thank you to everyone who supported yesterday’s Horsfall House Community Walk 2026 💚
Thank you to our amazing staff and volunteers who route-marked, baked, photographed, sewed, transported (people and pooches) served drinks, marshalled, smiled, laughed, scribed, vacuumed, cleaned, gazebo-ed (yes, I know that’s not a word😉) and our two brilliant back-stop walkers who did the whole route collecting all the signage after everyone had finished - this event was a real celebration of community spirit.
We’re also incredibly grateful to all the local businesses, organisations and individuals whose generosity and support helped make the day possible.

🌟 Final call for tomorrow’s Community Walk! 🌟
If you haven’t had a chance to register online, don't worry - just come along between 9.30am and 12.30pm tomorrow and sign up at the start. Everyone is welcome!

We were incredibly proud to see two of our dedicated colleagues, Rachel (carer) and Jo (catering assistant), attend the Buckingham Palace Garden Party earlier this month. Their invitation was a fitting recognition of the compassion and commitment shown by our frontline staff every day. 👑✨ It was a very memorable occasion for them and we were delighted to see Rachel and Jo celebrated in such a special way. 💙

Rolling into Bank Holiday Monday fun! 🧀🎉
On honour of one of Gloucestershire's most eccentric events, our residents had a brilliant time taking part in their own cheese rolling activity, with all the fun and none of the danger! And after all that excitement, everyone enjoyed grapes and cheese together for a well-earned treat. 🍇🧀💛
Meanwhile, on Cooper’s Hill, German YouTuber Tom Kopke made it three men’s wins in a row, while France’s Alix Heugas took the women’s title in the chase for the famous wheel of Double Gloucester.
We’re pleased to report our version involved far fewer tumbles and less battered cheese!
