To mark 10 years since Pete died, we had the idea of taking on an ultra challenge together as a team.
When someone talks about walking that kind of distance, it can sound doable. Trust us—it isn't.
This challenge has been absolutely hardcore. Over the course of the walk, we've climbed the equivalent of Ben Nevis more than once. It's been endless hills, and sheer determination. It has been a beast.
We've had more knee injuries than we can count on one hand, and right now every part of our bodies feels broken.
In many ways, taking on this challenge together represents the journey after su***de loss. It's difficult, exhausting, and at times overwhelming. But just like this walk, it's the support of others that gets you through.
The encouragement, teamwork and friendship shown throughout have been incredible. A special mention must go to Wendy, who spent hours driving around the county, late into the night, making sure we had the support we needed every step of the way.
We are in awe of every single person who took part and everyone who supported us along the way. You are all superstars.
Please do continue to donate while we work to lance the blisters and recover from the aftermath of this challenge. Every donation helps us continue this important work and create something positive in memory of all our loved ones who have died by su***de.
Thank you all. 💙
