A heartfelt thank you to Pershore FC for their generous donation, given in honour of Louis Holtz.

We are incredibly grateful for the continued support shown to Sunflowers—not only from local communities, but from everyone who fundraises, donates, and takes part in activities to support our cause.

Your kindness helps us continue our work, providing vital support to families and individuals who need it most.

We truly couldn’t do this without you, so thank you.

We may not want to believe it but school holidays are quickly approaching! Looking for your child to get out into the fresh air this summer? Our Go Ape children’s event is the perfect chance for them to step outside, try something new, and have an incredible day of adventure

Surrounded by the Sunflowers Community, they’ll feel welcomed, included, and free to express themselves—whether that’s conquering the treetops, cheering on new friends, or simply enjoying the thrill of the outdoors.

It’s more than just a day out… it’s a chance to build confidence, make connections, and forget all their worries for a while

Spaces are limited and filling up fast—so don’t miss out!

Although we would love to offer these events out to a wider audience, please note that our capacity at the moment means these events are for Sunflowers Community Members and their friends and family being supported only.

Book now by scanning the QR code on the post or following the link below to secure their spot!

WOW.... the amount that has been raised for the Ultra Challenge so far is nothing short of incredible

Every step taken, every mile pushed through, every moment of perseverance from everyone involved has been truly inspiring. This challenge has shown the absolute strength, determination, and heart of the Sunflowers community.

But this is about so much more than just the challenge.

Abbie and the Sunflowers team took this on to mark 10 years since Pete passed — a decade of love, remembrance, and recognition that continues to drive everything we do.

The Ultra Challenge also marks a huge personal milestone, as Abbie steps down as CEO. What a powerful way to close this chapter — with purpose, strength, and legacy.

So if you’ve been thinking about donating, now is the moment. Let’s honour Pete. Let’s celebrate everything Abbie has given. And let’s push this total even higher! Every donation and share helps make a difference.

Let's finish the Ultra Challenge with the strength and community spirit that the Sunflowers community whole heartedly represent.

This Pride Month, here at Sunflowers, we want to say this clearly:

You are welcome here.
You are safe here.
Your grief is valid.

At Sunflowers, we provide a safe and welcoming space where you can be seen and access support, exactly as you are.

Our journeys through grief are individual—and so are we.
But that does not mean you should go through it without support.

You deserve compassion every step of the way.
You deserve to feel supported.
You deserve to be heard.

And here at Sunflowers, you are.

To mark 10 years since Pete died, we had the idea of taking on an ultra challenge together as a team.

When someone talks about walking that kind of distance, it can sound doable. Trust us—it isn't.

This challenge has been absolutely hardcore. Over the course of the walk, we've climbed the equivalent of Ben Nevis more than once. It's been endless hills, and sheer determination. It has been a beast.

We've had more knee injuries than we can count on one hand, and right now every part of our bodies feels broken.

In many ways, taking on this challenge together represents the journey after su***de loss. It's difficult, exhausting, and at times overwhelming. But just like this walk, it's the support of others that gets you through.
The encouragement, teamwork and friendship shown throughout have been incredible. A special mention must go to Wendy, who spent hours driving around the county, late into the night, making sure we had the support we needed every step of the way.

We are in awe of every single person who took part and everyone who supported us along the way. You are all superstars.

Please do continue to donate while we work to lance the blisters and recover from the aftermath of this challenge. Every donation helps us continue this important work and create something positive in memory of all our loved ones who have died by su***de.
Thank you all. 💙
