The UK Visa and Immigration Service recommends that all international students have a UK based Educational Guardian who will act as the parents’ representative whilst their child is studying in the UK. AEGIS Quality Standards: Standard 7 - Complaints

Standard 7 promotes transparency and accountability. Under AEGIS Standard 7, guardianship organisations must have a clear, publicly available Complaints Policy that explains how concerns can be raised and addressed promptly.

The policy must include:
✔️ An informal resolution stage
✔️ A formal complaints process
✔️ A route to refer unresolved complaints to AEGIS for independent review

They must also maintain written records of all formal complaints and any actions taken, whether or not the complaint is upheld.
