Today about 10 of or Friday walkers got the train and headed over to New Mills and was hiking the hills and saw some beautiful views. Members step count was between 29,500 and 32,000 steps which is fantastic. Great weather and used public transport instead of using the car to get to New Mills. ๐Ÿšถ ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Our original speaker for tonight unfortunately cancelled, and one of our fab new members Becky J Field stepped in and saved the day. She is a local wellbeing coach, she made it interactive and fun. Her shopping trolley reminded me of Mary Poppins handbag ๐Ÿ‘œ. Some of her comments rang true for me. It was a great turnout considering itโ€™s Englands 1st game of the tournament ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ. Congratulations to our raffle winners tonight. Our recipes are certainly going down well.

๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š Tonight 10 of our members went on their Tuesday evening Stroll. With this week being the Big Green Week, our members want to earn their Green Heart ๐Ÿ’š and they did the stroll with litter pickers that Jude brought for us to use, and picked up the rubbish they came across on route. Our walk leader Jane, took us on a lovely route, down the canal, across Strines to the Roman Lakes, across the lovely bridge and back up lakes road back into Marple. The weather was lovely, especially after the terrible weather this afternoon/evening. We did manage get get quite a bit of rubbish and hopefully we have made a little progress with making the walks of Marple litter free. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š
