🔥Help reduce fire risk this summer🔥

Hot, dry weather means there is a higher risk of fires. Stockport Council is asking local shops to think about stopping the sale of disposable barbecues for now.

They are also asking everyone to take extra care to help protect our parks, green spaces, wildlife and local communities.

Thank you for helping keep Stockport safe this summer. 🚒

Stockport Pride

We raised £65 in donations on our book swap stall at Hazel Grove Carnival on Saturday. 📚 This will go towards next year's insurance we need for litter picking.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated books, supported us, helped on the stall and stopped by for a chat. It was so lovely to meet so many new people from our community.

There will be no litter pick this weekend as we'll be at Stockport Pride. If you want to go, but don't want to do it alone, come and join us! We'll be on Hillgate for the march at 10:30.

However, a big thank you must go to Aimée Yim who did a quick litter pick around Torkington Park after the carnival.

Our next litter pick will be on Sunday 27th September at 1:00pm. Meet us outside the The Rising Sun. Everyone is welcome! Equipment will be provided.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to each and every one of you who made today’s event such an incredible success. ❤️

To our amazing committee members, fantastic trade stall holders, animal providers, delicious food and drink vendors, talented community acts, supportive local businesses, Strawberry Radio and all of their fabulous acts, our security team, first aid team, and every single person who came along to support us, thank you. Your kindness, generosity, hard work, and community spirit turned our event into something truly special.

Seeing so many smiling faces, friends coming together, and our community enjoying such a wonderful day is exactly why we do what we do. We couldn’t have done it without every one of you.

Our incredible volunteers are now taking some very well-earned breaks after months of planning and today’s hard work, but don’t worry… we’ll be back very soon!

Until then, thank you for making memories with us and for reminding us just how amazing our community really is. 💕🌟

We do not have any litter picks arranged for July and August. We will be at Hazel Grove Carnival, where we will have a pay as you can book stall to raise money for our insurance and Stockport Pride.

Our next litter pick will be 27th September at 1pm meeting outside the Rising Sun. Everyone is welcome.

Six volunteers collected 11 bags of rubbish 🚮 along the A6, cleaned the bus stop 🚏, and removed dead weeds 🪾 to help tidy the area and make it look more welcoming.

A fantastic team effort that has made a real difference to the local environment. Thank you to everyone who gave up their time to help.

HGBB Needs Your HELP!
Sadly we have lost the use of Hazel Grove Civic Hall our home for 20+ years, due to safety concerns of the buildings structure, it has been closed with immediate effect. As such we are in desperate need of a new band room for us to rehearse and store our equipment.

We are currently exploring a number of options provided by Stockport Council, sadly none of which so far are suitable for our needs. However, if you can help us out during this difficult time with suggestions or offers of space it will be very much appreciated.
