Southampton City Scouts offers fun, challenge and adventure to over 1000 young people aged 4 to 25 in Southampton. Scouts are do-ers.....and give-it-a-go-ers.

We question and listen and form wide open minds. We take a deep breath and speak up. We think on our feet. See the big picture. Ignore the butterflies and go for it. We get back up and try again. We think about what’s next, and plan for it. We jump in, get muddy, give back and get set. We’re Scouts and everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Every week we give almost half a million 4-25 year olds the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life. Sounds fun? Worthwhile? It is. But don't just take our word for it. Take theirs.

Our Explorer Scouts (14-18) have just returned from an epic weekend in North Wales. Our Summit Expedition takes place every year. This time we stayed in Bethesda and climbed peaks such as Yr Wyddfa and Tryfan. It was the perfect trip and it didn’t even rain! (For the first time ever).

We have 5 Explorer units in our district. If you want to get involved find out more at explorers.southamptoncityscouts.org.uk

Did you have a great summer? Our Explorers (ages 14–18) certainly did! 🏔️🏄‍♂️

They spent an incredible week packed with adventure in the gorgeous Lake District... from rock climbing and hill walking to SUP boarding and campfire cooking. It was a brilliant week outdoors in one of the most beautiful parts of the country!

Interested in joining the adventure with Explorers? Whether you're a young person aged 14+ looking for new experiences or an adult ready for a new volunteering role, we’d love to welcome you to the team.
