Southampton City Scouts

Southampton City Scouts Southampton City Scouts offers fun, challenge and adventure to over 1000 young people aged 4 to 25 in Southampton. Scouts are do-ers.....and give-it-a-go-ers.

We question and listen and form wide open minds. We take a deep breath and speak up. We think on our feet. See the big picture. Ignore the butterflies and go for it. We get back up and try again. We think about what’s next, and plan for it. We jump in, get muddy, give back and get set. We’re Scouts and everyone’s welcome here. All genders, races and backgrounds. Every week we give almost half a mi

llion 4-25 year olds the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life. Sounds fun? Worthwhile? It is. But don't just take our word for it. Take theirs.

Do you know what your blood type is?

Blood is needed every day for emergencies, cancer treatment and people living with sickle cell. Because blood can’t be manufactured or stored for long periods, the NHS depends on volunteers coming forward to donate regularly. Taking the time to find out your blood type and register as a donor is an important step towards making that lifesaving difference.

Their blood typing event during the Marathon Festival on 2nd May and on Race Day on 3rd May, offers a short session with a friendly team consisting of an eligibility check and a two-minute finger-prick test to find out the likely blood type. No donation is required on the day – just registration to become a donor and the test.
