For all these years we have given hope to thousands of abandoned or mistreated animals who have come through our gates. Our aim is to rehome as many animals as possible into secure, loving homes for the remainder of their lives and care for those that have to remain with us.

A big thank you to one of our wonderful volunteers for bringing in some lovely enrichment for our bunnies and guinea pigs! 💚

Enrichment is an important part of rabbit and guinea pig welfare, encouraging natural behaviours such as foraging, exploring and chewing. It helps keep them active, mentally stimulated and happy while reducing boredom and stress. 🐹💚

Eden is a shy girl who is finding the shelter environment very stressful..

She has spent her life as a stray and is finding the confinement of shelter life very overwhelming 😔

Eden would love a home where she has the ability to just be herself with lots of outdoor access.

We don’t think she needs a full working home as her finder has said she can be lovely but we haven’t been able to interact with her here, likely because she is so frightened 😔

Her ideal home would be a rural home, ideally someone with land/large garden/access to fields away from people with the option for her to have an outdoor safe space if this is what she chooses

On Tuesday 23rd our Big Book Bonanza will be back, this time in the Atrium at Crystal Peaks between 10am - 2pm.

Then, on Thursday 25th, our Posh Frock Pop-Up Shop will be coming to Todwick Cafe & Deli from 4-7pm.

Following on from a brilliant Volunteers Week, we've made a special Volunteers Facebook Group where we can chat to our lovely team. If you're currently volunteering and would like to stay in the loop, please do join; https://www.facebook.com/groups/1018245360622085

We're also looking for a few more kind people who are after something extra special to do in their spare time.

If you feel like something is missing, or are fed up of doom scrolling for hours, this could be the perfect opportunity to get outside, make (fluffy) friends and make a big difference.

Volunteering hours are open 9am-4pm, 7 days a week. Even an hour or two can make a huge impact to our team.

Come to one of our inductions to find out more, then visit us whenever you can! Volunteers also get 25% off in our shops and cafe.

Our Crystal Peaks shop is one of our busiest and most successful charity shops, and we're looking for an experienced Shop Manager to lead the team.

This is a hands-on retail role where presentation really matters. The successful candidate will be confident creating strong, eye-catching displays and maintaining high merchandising standards in a fast-paced environment.

We're looking for someone with previous shop management experience who can lead a team, drive sales, and deliver excellent customer service. Charity shop experience is preferred but not essential.

Every sale helps fund the care of the animals at Thornberry, so this is a role where your impact is visible every day.

Hi everyone!

We're looking for a home as soon as possible for these two beautiful boys. Jonathan and Jem. At just 7 weeks old they are at a vital stage in their development. They should be playing and exploring and learning that people are fun and not scary. Instead they have spent their whole lives so far at the shelter. As we don't have a safe space to let them come out and play, they are spending a lot of time in their cage and tend to hide away. Despite this, they are really sweet and with a bit of time and patience they are sure to blossom into happy confident companions. If you can offer them a home or want to find out more, please get in touch.

Frankie has been waiting over 4 weeks for someone to notice him, and we can’t understand why!

Frankie came to us as an unclaimed stray and is a petite sighthound with a huge love for life (around 15kg)

This energetic lad loves being out and about, and kennel life is starting to take its toll. He’s finding it difficult being confined when all he wants is to be running, exploring, and sharing adventures with his very own family. 🏡

We would love nothing more than to see Frankie settled in a loving home where he can enjoy the summer he truly deserves — chasing sunshine, discovering new places, and finally knowing what it means to belong ☀️💚🏡
