🐉 Dragon Boat Team Spotlight 👉 Meet the Green Dragons from HW Martin Waist Ltd ♻

Long-time supporters of Bluebell Wood, HW Martin has already raised more than £6,000 for the hospice through fundraising, volunteering, Christmas tree collections and sponsored challenges over the years. They've even helped champion the Dragon Boat Race in the local community and we're so incredibly grateful for it all 🥰

While the team might be diving in for their first-ever Bluebell Wood Dragon Boat Race, you bet they're ready to make waste of the competition 😉 With a crew made up of Directors, Senior Managers and Operational staff from across Leeds, Rotherham and Derbyshire, while some team members have dragon boat experience, for many it will be their maiden voyage – so a few nerves are floating alongside the excitement!

Their Social Value Manager, Stacey, has a message for spectators 👇
"Please come along, any support for inexperienced teams like ours will boost our morale. It's going to be a great family fun day – we can't wait! And at the end of the day the aim is to raise vital funds for the hospice, fun and fundraising – perfect combo!"

💜 What a trip! Delighted to welcome a beautiful new addition to our memory garden. 💜

Thanks to the generosity of Parkgate the iconic steel tree sculpture that has stood proudly at the shopping park since 2018 has found a new home here at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Standing six metres tall, the sculpture now sits at the heart of our memory garden. A special place where families can reflect, remember and celebrate the lives of their loved ones.

Created by renowned local sculptor Steve Mehdi, the sculpture has been carefully relocated with the support of Parkway Sheet Metals, H. Askey Transport, Bramley Construction and Landscape Ltd, and Holemasters Demtech Ltd.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved in bringing this wonderful feature to Bluebell Wood, looking amazing in the summer sun today. 🌞

Join Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice as our Individual Giving & Legacy Fundraiser and help secure the income that enables us to support babies, children, young adults and their families when they need us most.

📍 Salary: £31,906 per annum (FTE)

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in fundraising, donor development or supporter engagement who wants to:

✨ Create and deliver inspiring fundraising campaigns
✨ Grow our regular giving and legacy programmes
✨ Build meaningful relationships with supporters
✨ Use insight and creativity to increase income
✨ Work with a passionate team that shares your ambition

We're looking for someone who is proactive, creative and driven by results, with a passion for building lasting supporter relationships and making a genuine impact.

Together, we can ensure every family has access to the care and support they need.

🐉🚣 Dragon Boat Team Spotlight 👉 Meet Team e.on 🔥

We’re thrilled to have E.ON back on board as our headline sponsor for our Bluebell Wood Dragon Boat Race, and just as excited to cheer on their team, Energy Heroes, on the lake too! 🌊

With most of the crew meeting for the very first time on race day, they’ll be diving in at the deep end but we’re sure they'll soon get into the swing (or should that be stroke?) of things 👀

⚡As well as helping power the event, the E.ON Next team will be back with their community stand offering community giveaways and the support of a energy expert on hand to offer advice to anyone who might need it. Talk about all rounders!
