For over 20 years, Church Army has supported Sorted, which creates spaces where young people find belonging, build confidence, explore faith and discover hope.

✨ Do you feel called to evangelism but unsure whether training is for you?

Today our new cohort of Evangelists-in-Training begin their first training weekend, but not everyone arrives full of confidence. Some come with years of experience. Others wonder if they're capable of studying at all.

Through community, learning and practical ministry, Church Army equips people to share the good news of Jesus.

Ste is starting his second year in training, and he tells us: "I've never been an academic, but God has put it on my heart to be an evangelist."

❤️ These are the powerful words of Claire, a Church Army Evangelist-in-Training.

On 20 September, Claire is taking on the Castleford 10k to raise vital funds for our Ruby Project, supporting women who are often facing exploitation, substance misuse and homelessness.

And she won’t be running alone. Alongside her will be her mum, her sister and her son – some of the people who lived through Claire’s darkest times with her. Together, three generations of one family will celebrate just how far they’ve come, while helping other women find hope for the road ahead.

Winter is on its way, and with energy prices rising again, many households are already feeling the strain. In a recent interview with TWR UK , our CEO Matt Barlow reminds us that the answer isn't just practical support – it's community, and ultimately, Jesus.

Matt shared how volunteering and simple acts of welcome can transform lives: "Look around you and maybe you can invite someone for lunch, and that could make all the difference."

But he was clear that practical help is only part of our responsibility as Christians: "People need help, but we also know they really, really need Jesus as well."

This winter, whether it's through a food bank, a warm space, or simply noticing the person next door, simple acts of love can make a real difference.
