📣 Reminder!! We're recruiting for new trustees. 📣

📣 We’re looking for new trustees at Pat Midgley Community Hub!

Would you like to help shape the future of your local community hub? We’d love to hear from you! 💚

Our trustees help guide the Hub’s work, support decisions about its future and make sure it continues to serve our community.

You don’t need any previous trustee experience — all training will be provided. What matters is that you care about your community and bring skills, experience or a perspective that could help.

That might include:

✨ Admin or organisational skills
✨ Experience of community work or volunteering
✨ Lived experience of challenges faced by others in our community
✨ A willingness to listen, share ideas and learn

We welcome people from all backgrounds and particularly encourage applications from diverse communities. We want our trustee team to reflect the people who use the Hub and bring a wide range of voices and experiences to our decisions.

💬 Interested, or just curious about what’s involved? Send us a message for a friendly, informal chat — there’s no pressure to commit!

Please share this post to help us spread the word.

📣 Local Youth Club

We know there is currently limited youth provision in our local area, so we’re pleased to share details of this youth club taking place at Skye Edge.

Please note that these sessions are not being held at Pat Midgley Community Hub and are run by a separate organisation. However, we wanted to help spread the word so that more local young people and families know what is available nearby.

Please see the attached poster for full details, including the location, session times and contact information. Feel free to share with anyone who may be interested! 😊

🚌 Does anyone remember the coach trips that used to go from the Windsor pub?

I remember my grandad talking about them, and it’s lovely to think of neighbours and friends heading off together for a day out. Those shared memories are such a special part of our community. ❤️

We’d love to hear your stories — did you go on any of the trips? Where did you go, and have you got any photos tucked away?

We’re wondering whether we could bring a little of that spirit back with a Pat Midgley Community Hub trip to Blackpool! 🎡🌊

We could potentially arrange a coach trip for around £17 per place, on a Saturday or Sunday in November. The date would be subject to confirmation.

👇 Comment below if you’d be interested, and let us know how many places you might want so we can get an idea of numbers!
