This Sunday! An afternoon in the company of TRIP.

We love a matinee- no late nights, no driving home in the dark, and you can even come by train if you want to. And it's even better when the music's just this good!

TRIP, born out of the vibrant Glasgow traditional music scene, unite the kindred Celtic traditions of Scotland, Ireland, Northumbria and the Isle of Man.

Their trademark sound is dynamic, driven and distinctive and celebrates the band’s roots in tradition, whilst showcasing a contemporary, cross-genre fl are. Their tight-knit arrangements blend traditional melodies and self-penned tunes and songs to produce an exciting take on folk music.

Monday 2nd Nov, 7.30pm- Mark Steel: Work in Progress. Sony and Writers’ Guild Award-winning writer and comedian, Mark Steel is best known for his critically acclaimed BBC Radio 4 show Mark Steel’s in Town (sorry, s0ld 0ut!).

Tuesday 3rd Nov, 7pm- Fallen Angels. Two upper-class wives, their husbands away for the day, share a few toasts to their pre-marital dalliances—with the same man, who just may be en route from France to visit.

Wednesday 4th Nov, 2.30pm- The Christophers. A reclusive artist's estranged children enlist a young painter and sometime - forger, to pose as a prospective assistant and gain access to a fabled series of unfinished canvases.

Wednesday 4th Nov, 7pm- From Hilde with Love. Berlin, 1942. A shy Hilde falls in love with Hans and gradually finds her place in the resistance group that would come to be known as the “Red Orchestra”.

Friday 6th Nov, 8pm- The Poozies. The Poozies have been mistresses of cosmic shape-shifting for a miraculous 35 years…. Pioneers from the beginning, with a healthy dose of sass and irreverence, they paved the way for sparkly women folkies in a beardy man’s world.

Saturday 7th Nov, 8pm- Uptown Joel. The legendary songs of Billy Joel, performed by West End original Darren Reeves, along with a live 5-piece band.

Sunday 8th Nov, 7.30pm- The Oliver Wakeman Band. Eldest son of Rick Wakeman, Oliver filled the keyboard role, once held by his father, with YES from 2008 to 2011. His work with YES includes the double live album In The Present - Live From Lyon, Fly From Here and the From A Page box set.

Pagoda Project- Thursday 12 November, 7.30pm at Victoria Hall.

Inspired by the folk traditions of the UK, this is music and song cut through with experimentation, boldness, humour and risk. Expect ethereal to turn gutsy, passion and tears to be tempered by a good laugh and a tide of improvisation which means no two evenings are ever the same.
