Lots of people are asking about Settle Repair Cafes. We ran a total of 6 pop-up Repair Cafes at Settle Victoria Hall- The World's Oldest Music Hall. They were great fun and there is clearly a strong demand. However, we do not have dedicated premises where people can leave their items, nor do we have workshop space at present. How can we make this work as a community? If you - or your organisation - are interested in partnering with us, please get in touch.

Sorry we have been quiet for a while. Various things happened last year and caused the Invigorate project to be put on hold for a while.

We are now back! Over the last 12-18 months, we have been undertaking a Feasibility Study, funded by North Yorkshire Council. This is now complete and we are moving into a new phase, where we will be trying out different ways to make beautiful things from plastic waste.

Tomorrow is the last Repair Cafe of 2024 Settle Victoria Hall- The World's Oldest Music Hall.

Doors open at 5 pm and we finish around 7 pm.

All welcome.

Our brilliant repairers, Keith and Martin, can fix almost anything electrical or mechanical. Bring along your broken items and we’ll have a go.

We're coming up to the last Repair Cafe of the year at Settle Victoria Hall- The World's Oldest Music Hall, on Thursday 12th December from 5 to 7 pm.

As we approach the end of 2024, here are some dates for your diary.

We have one more Repair Cafe this year, on 12th December, 5 to 7 pm. All welcome.

We are taking a break in January, but there will then be monthly Repair Cafes on the following dates:

Thursday 6th February
Thursday 6th March
Thursday 10th April
Thursday 8th May.

We're also planning an Invigorate Upate Event on Thursday 27th February, starting at 5.30 pm. This will be an opportunity to tell you how the project is going and give you the chance to share your ideas and get involved.

All events are at Settle Victoria Hall- The World's Oldest Music Hall.

One of our satisfied customers was the owner of a food mixer. She bought it second-hand nearly 58 years ago and uses it constantly to make cakes. Now it has been given a new lease of life - let's hope it's good for another 58 years!

Last Thursday we held another great Repair Cafe at Settle Victoria Hall- The World's Oldest Music Hall. Our systems are developing. For now, we are running as a 'pop up' in the main hall, so most items need to be taken away by our repairers and people can collect them the following week. However, a couple of items were fixed in situ - a bike and a paper cutter. Other people came in to collect items they had left last time, so there were plenty of satisfied customers.
