We did it! Yesterday we completed our 3 peaks challenge in aid of Oxford children’s hospital, Thames Valley Air Ambulance and Witney YFC battling through wind, rain and snow as well as heat, sun and lack of sleep. A big thank you to Sonia and Sarah for giving up their weekends this would not have been possible without them.

A big thank you to everyone who has donated so far, we have raised over £2600 and have nearly reached our fundraising target of £3000 so it would be great to push through that! Link to donate below and in our bio, please share this post so we can reach more people.

⛰️ Witney YFC are taking on the National 3 Peaks Challenge from 27–28 June 2026!

Members will climb the highest mountains in England, Scotland & Wales — Ben Nevis (1345m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1085m) — all within 24 hours 🚶‍♂️⛰️

That means:
🥾 23 miles / 37km of hiking
⬆️ 3064m of ascent & descent
🚐 462 miles of driving in between!

We’re raising money for 3 amazing causes ❤️

🏥 Oxford Hospitals Charity (40%) – supporting children’s hospital care, equipment, research & facilities. Our member Chloe Rodger has spent long periods here after a childhood accident, and will be participating in the challenge

🚁 Thames Valley Air Ambulance (40%) – providing lifesaving emergency care across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire. Living rurally, you never know when you might need them.

🌱 Witney YFC (20%) – helping us continue to provide opportunities, skills, experiences and friendships for young people, as well as funding future meetings and equipment for the club.
