The "Shouting Fusilier" (officially known as the "Cheering Fusilier") is a historic Grade II-listed Boer War.

Great news the statue plinth has now been restored to it former glory thanks to Salford Council .
They have done a cracking job of matching the stone and refitting it.
A special shout out to Michelle
Lindsey for facilitating the very quick repair before it got any worse.
Thank you to everyone involved .

These picture were taken this morning.

1st Battalion King's Regiment Memorial Northern Ireland Operation Bannon.

Called to see the lads today whilst in Liverpool . Over the years I have met the Family's of a lot of these lads who made the ultimate sacrifice, through Graham Walker who served with the Kingos I have made great friends with the lads of the Regiment on V2 day and One Bottle Of B**r Nights and because of this, there will always be a place in my heart for Liverpool.
God Bless Lads, Rest In Peace
Lest we Forget.

Dedicated :The memorial honors the "Kingsmen" of the 1st Battalion King’s Regiment who lost their lives while serving in Northern Ireland during Operation Banner (1969–2007).
