It's Wildlife Wednesday and recently we have had some very cute arrivals here at the centre who have needed some TLC to get back to full health.

We have had a Gosling (pictured below), who was on treatment for an injury to his neck, as well as a baby Herring Gull (pictured below), an adult Magpie, 3 junior Magpies and a baby Jackdaw!

Many of these cases have been here until they have been able to be transferred to the RSPCA wildlife centre at Stapeley Grange in Cheshire where they will be rehabilitated until they can be released back into the wild.

💚🐱 KITTEN FOOD APPEAL 🐱💚

We are firmly in the throws of kitten season here and so like many other rescues, we have lots of little paws and claws needing feeding.

As a result, our supplies of kitten food are running low.

If you are therefore in the position to be able to help us and donate a bag or a box of either wet or dry food, we would be extremely appreciative 💚

We can use any brand at all (these cheeky faces are not fussy) and donations can be dropped off at the centre's reception area 7 days a week between 9am and 5pm.

🧡💐 JUNE - 1 YEARS OLD 🧡💐

Meet the lovely, June! This sweet girl came into us after she was found as a stray. It is really sad for us to think of her out on the streets by herself as she is so people orientated and just loves all of the fusses and attention that she can get her little paws on.

Being young, June still has lots of adventures left ahead of her and just needs to find that new adventure buddy or two to accompany her along the way. Does that sound like the purrfect role for you and your family? If so, we would love to hear from you!

🏑🩵 ILYA & SHANE - 6 MONTHS OLD 🏑🩵

Meet Ilya and Shane: two cats named after a heated rivalry, but don't let that fool you. Whilst their names may come from a show based on fierce compeitition, these boys have clearly decided that life is much better when you are on the same team!

🐹🧡 CHORIZO AND SALAMI 🐹🧡

Chorizo and Salami are a mum and daughter duo who are on the lookout for pastures new after arriving here via RSPCA inspectors.

They are looking to expland their family of two to include some human family members - so hopefully you have space in your family tree for them to come aboard!

These girls have been waiting for 4 months to find their next chapter but have not had any luck with finding a new family thus far. We cannot understand this as when kept correctly, guinea pigs make the most amazing pets. They are funny, characterful and will most definitely add a whole lot of love and light to your life.

💚🐱 MEET SHAMROCK, DALLAS AND BRANDY - 3 MONTHS OLD 🐱💚

Meet Shamrock (male), Dallas (male) and Brandy (female)! This playful bunch are seeking pastures new where they can continue lives filled with love, cuddles and adventure. Could you be their new adventure buddy? If so, we would love to hear from you!

This group certainly keep us on our toes here at the centre. They are lively, playful and go from hoovering up their food, to having a nap and running around their pod all in the space of an hour. There will certainly never be a dull day with one or more of this group around!

As with most kittens, this trio love their toys and love dashing about with each other but they also enjoy time with people just as much and will curl up on your lap after they have had their zoomies.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of one of our trustees.

June Irving was a trustee with us for 9 years and a volunteer for many years previous to this. She was a passionate advocate for animals of all kinds and her kindness, help and support here touched the lives of so many — both human and animal alike.

Beyond her work with us, June will be remembered for her warm heart, generosity, and deep love for all living beings. Her loss will be felt greatly here by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

We are incredibly grateful for everything June did for us here at the centre. Her compassion and legacy will continue to live on in all the animals we help.

Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time. ❤️
