Rochdale Connections Trust

Rochdale Connections Trust At Rochdale Connections Trust, we’re proud to be Rochdale’s leading Independent provider of Family Support, Targeted Youth Support and Domestic Abuse Services.

Supporting local people. Changing lives. Rochdale Connections Trust Charity was founded in 1997 by a group of Youth Court Magistrates who had become increasingly concerned by the number of young people coming before them who had little or no family support. They identified that many of them were not attending school and were becoming socially excluded and marginalised, impacting negatively on thei

r self-worth, self-esteem and confidence. They actively set about connecting the identified young people with adults to help them return to education and training via a range of social inclusion intervention programmes. We have evolved over the years to expand our provision to include work with socially isolated adults and those with complex needs, although we remain highly committed to our original targeted youth support programme.

Did you know cancer screening could save your life — but many people still miss it? 💛

We’re proud to share that we’ve taken the Bee Seen, Get Screened pledge with — because making time for your health shouldn’t be difficult.

Here’s what that means for our team and our community:
✔️ Staff are supported with time off to attend screening
✔️ We’re raising awareness of NHS cancer screening programmes
✔️ We’re putting wellbeing at the heart of our workplace
✔️ We’re encouraging open, honest conversations about early detection

Screening can save lives — and sometimes it’s just about making that first appointment.

If you’ve been putting it off, consider this your gentle reminder 💛

Great to see conversations around change and second chances taking centre stage 💬

Thanks to Back on Track Manchester for a fantastic event on Monday!
Jenny attended the Back on Track Symposium (focused on desistance from crime) on behalf of Rochdale Wellbeing Service and RCT. It was well engaged and a real success.

Cervical screening saves lives 💙

If you have a cervix and are aged 25–64, you’re eligible for cervical screening. In England, screening is now offered every 5 years for those who test negative for HPV, with more frequent follow-up if HPV is detected.
It’s a reliable and effective way to reduce your risk of cervical cancer. Alongside the HPV vaccine, it’s one of the best ways to protect yourself — preventing over 7 in 10 cervical cancers and saving around 5,000 lives every year.

Raising awareness and encouraging uptake is vital, especially during .

💛 Summer holidays can be tough on families and kindness like this really matters

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the staff at Marston Holdings, who took part in a hands‑on community initiative linked to the areas where they work. Their team created a large number of summer activity packs and very kindly donated 50 of these to RCT.
Each pack is filled with creative and outdoor play activities, but what makes them extra special is the personal touch as every pack includes the name of the person who packed it, along with their favourite summer activity.

These packs will be so welcomed, and our young people are going to love them.
We’ll share more photos where we can 📸

Thank you again to everyone at Marston Holdings for supporting local families and making a real difference in our community.
