Each month, we celebrate the rich cultures and heritage of our amazing staff and this month it was our Activities Co-ordinator Jane’s turn to share hers with us!

Jane brought the vibrant spirit of Mexico to life with an incredible Mexican Fiesta, and what a fiesta it was! 🇲🇽

From lively mariachi music and energetic salsa dancing to delicious treats, handmade piñata, a cheeky margarita and refreshing sunset cocktails, everyone had a fantastic time immersing themselves in the sights, sounds and flavours of Mexican culture.

A huge thank you to our Activities Team for creating such a fun, colourful and memorable celebration. We love learning about and celebrating the diverse backgrounds that make our team so special! 🌵🌮🍹

We had a very busy weekend here at Riverside Lodge. Residents enjoyed spending time outdoors with garden games, a lovely walk around the Aquadrome and some delicious baking too. From friendly competition in the sunshine to homemade treats fresh from the oven, it was a wonderful day. 💛

A big thank you to Leigh and everyone who came along to our Dementia Talk and Cheese & Wine Evening last night.

It was wonderful to see such a strong turnout, and we’re very grateful to everyone who took the time to join the conversation and share their experiences. These sessions are extremely valuable for relatives to be a part of and the feedback we receive plays an important role in shaping the person-centred care we provide at Riverside.

This week residents have enjoyed some armchair travel to Spain 🇪🇸, plenty of card games, bunting making, a fun pub night, and a few competitive games of Scrabble and Bingo! We also enjoyed visiting the book fair at St Mary’s Church and spent time together watching the FA Cup ⚽️
