Air Cadet Pilot Scheme (FY 2025/26)

1. Applications for the Air Cadet Pilot Scheme (ACPS) for FY 2025/26 are now open as detailed in IBN 031 – 2024 Selection for Gliding Scholarships and Air Cadet Pilot Scholarships.

2. Applications are to be made using the MS Form Air Cadet Pilot Scheme 2025/2026 Application form.

3. Applicants should meet the following criteria:-

MUST be 18 years old at the time of the course 1st April 2025-31st March 2026 (17-year-olds can apply).
Have their parent/guardian’s written permission to attend the course if under the age of 18 at time of application.
MUST be able to attend for a continuous residential period of up to 3 weeks.
Be an enrolled member of the ATC or CCF (RAF) until training is completed.
Fully understand the privilege of being awarded a Scholarship, including the cost to the RAFAC, commitment to completion, and ramifications of withdrawal post selection.
Hold, or be predicted to pass, GCSE Grade C (grade 4 or 5 with effect from Aug 17) or above in English Language and Mathematics, or the equivalent in SCE. A BTEC in Aviation Studies is an acceptable alternative for the mathematics qualification

4. Medical Fitness: Cadets selected for the ACPS are required to obtain an CAA Class 2 medical certificate and obtain authorisation from a GP using the Form F6424.

All applicants are to complete an application form on this MS Forms sent through each Region, the MS Form Application Form will close on the 24th January 2025 and each Wing/Region will then conduct a sift of applications.
