🌞 **Behind the Scenes: Planning an Unforgettable Summer for Our Children!** 🌳🏊♀️🧗♂️
At The Gurkha Centre, a huge amount of work is taking place behind the scenes to make our Healthy Futures Summer Food & Activity Programme 2026 a truly memorable experience for local children.
We're currently working with local partners to secure a fantastic range of activities that encourage children to stay active, build confidence, make new friends, and learn through fun experiences.
🌳 **Ruislip Lido**
We are in the process of booking exciting woodland adventure sessions where children could explore nature, discover wildlife, enjoy outdoor learning, create forest art, build mini animal shelters, and spend time by the beach while making lifelong memories.
🏊♀️🧗♂️ **Botwell Green Sports & Leisure Centre**
We are also exploring a variety of sports and leisure activities, including **Clip 'n Climb**, swimming, indoor sports, gymnastics and other fun physical activities. We are working closely with the team to design the best possible experience for children of different ages and abilities.
Our aim is to keep as many activities as possible **in and around Hayes**, making it easier for families to access the programme while giving children exciting opportunities right on their doorstep.

🌍 Cultural learning and wellbeing activities
🤝 New friendships and confidence-building experiences

If you have a child aged **5–16 years** who may be eligible, we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible. **Places are limited**, and we don't want any child to miss out on what promises to be an exciting and memorable summer.
🤝 **We are also looking for volunteers!** If you have a few hours to spare and would like to support local children while gaining valuable experience and making a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
