📍 Marc Ciccone Travel Update – Rochester, 6th June 2026

Today Marc Ciccone saw Fiona McKenzie outside Lauren Edwards’ Constituency Office in Rochester, where a group had gathered to urge the MP to look into concerns surrounding the ongoing debate on assisted dying legislation.

A new landmark MRP poll of over 10,000 people has been released, showing no clear public mandate to revive Kim Leadbeater’s previously unsuccessful assisted dying bill or to use the Parliament Acts to bypass the House of Lords. This is the largest public poll on assisted dying since the original Bill was introduced in October 2024.

The findings come as MPs who placed in the top seven of the recent House of Commons Private Members’ Ballot face pressure from campaign groups to reintroduce the Bill.

Among them are Labour MP Lauren Edwards and Lib Dem MP Andrew George, who are reportedly receiving the strongest lobbying efforts. Constituency‑level data for both MPs has also been published.

Campaigners have outlined a strategy that would involve persuading one of the ballot‑drawn MPs to bring the Bill back and then attempt to advance it into law using the Parliament Acts.

If you want, I can also create a shorter version, a more neutral news‑reader style, or a more conversational community‑focused post.

It is incredibly sad news. The passing of Peabo Bryson at the age of 75 leaves a massive void in the world of music, but the legacy he leaves behind is absolutely timeless. He was truly one of the last great, pure crooners—a master of the romantic ballad whose voice possessed a unique warmth, sophistication, and effortless grace.

The Voice That Defined Romance

Before he became a global household name through his iconic Disney collaborations, Peabo Bryson spent decades setting the standard for sweet soul and R&B. Tracks like "Feel the Fire," "I'm So Into You," and the powerful "Can You Stop the Rain" proved his mastery as a solo artist. He didn't just sing lyrics; he felt them, delivering a smoothness that could quiet a room and mend a broken heart.

"Thank you, Mr. Bryson,

for sharing your incredible gift with the world for over five decades. Thank you for the sophistication you brought to the airwaves, the passion you poured into every lyric, and the sheer joy your entertainment brought to millions. Your voice made the world a softer, more beautiful place. While the music world has lost a true gentleman and an iconic performer, the melodies you created will play on forever."

May he rest in peace, and may his family, friends, and legions of fans find comfort in the timeless, beautiful catalog of music he left behind for all radio stations as well as my station 91.8 Hayes FM to play such wonderful songs.

R. I. P Peabo Bryson
