It's a time when many people take on new roles

From International President right down to individual Club roles

It may also be the start of a renewal for clubs and their members

New positions, new responsibilities and new initiatives

At Coaching Lions, we will continue with our themes of Community Service, Leadership & Wellbeing, Partnership & Impact, and Purpose Driven Volunteering

One of the loudest sounds in our community is the silence of social isolation.

We’ve all felt that quiet nudge of loneliness: the feeling of being in a crowd but not truly seen. But something shifts when we step into service. When we volunteer, we don’t just solve a problem; we find a place where we finally belong.

What does it actually look like to serve your own backyard?

In our Central West communities (MD105 CW), service is found in small, consistent actions. It’s the Sunday litter pick, the quiet befriending visit, and the collective effort to ensure no neighbor goes hungry.

This is "Service in Action." It’s about meeting people where they are, without seeking applause. When we show up locally, we aren’t just volunteering: we’re building a culture of true belonging and leadership. From youth safeguarding to environmental action, every project is a chance for personal growth and social impact.

We believe that when service creates connection and leadership inspires action, the whole community thrives.
