Our Support Workers are very experienced in supporting sufferers of mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases and understand the impact such diseases have on individuals and their famil

ies, both physically and psychologically. They are also knowledgeable about state benefits and compensation schemes and maintain close liaison with other key professionals in the care of the sufferer and their families. HOME VISITS
Our team are available to visit individual sufferers in the comfort of their own home or can be contacted by telephone, to assist with paperwork and provide ongoing support and guidance.

Sophie Fortune

Sophie is a Client Support Advisor at London Asbestos Support Awareness Group (LASAG), bringing extensive experience from the NHS and mental health services. She has supported patients, families and carers through some of the most difficult times in their lives, providing compassionate, empathetic and practical support.
With a calm and approachable manner, Sophie is skilled in active listening, responding sensitively to people in distress, and ensuring individuals feel heard, respected and supported. She has extensive experience managing enquiries, signposting people to the right services, working alongside multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and care.
Sophie is passionate about making a positive difference and is committed to supporting individuals and families affected by asbestos-related disease with empathy, professionalism and understanding.
