Oakland Foundation The Oakland Foundation charity was formed in 2012. The Foundation’s primary objective is to relieve the needs of children in England and Wales.

The Foundation’s primary objective is to relieve the needs of children in England and Wales who are disadvantaged by reason of their financial hardship or other disadvantage. The Foundation will be primarily funded through a yearly contribution from Oakland International. The main beneficiaries of the Oakland Foundation will be children under the age of 16 and their families from the surrounding

areas, living in conditions that would be considered below the poverty line. There is an extensive range of criteria that Trustees will have to assess before selecting applicants for funding. . These will include such things as what support they are already receiving (and whether that is enough) or the free activities that available to them within their communities e.g Parks, youth centres, free sport training.
