THE REALITY BEHIND THE JUNGLE EXPERIENCE…

So much is happening behind the scenes right now.

Creating a small zoo and education facility isn't simply finding a building, putting in some enclosures and opening the doors.

There are planning applications, surveys, ecology requirements, licensing, drawings, building work and what feels like endless paperwork! Every time we overcome one hurdle, another seems to appear.

I won't pretend it isn't scary. It's stressful, it's expensive and it's one of the biggest things we've ever taken on.

But we know why we're doing it. 💚

We want to create something truly special for our community — a place for wildlife, education, conservation and experiences that children and families will remember.

But we can't build The Jungle Experience alone.

Every donation, share, offer of materials or introduction to a business could help us take another step towards opening our doors in 2027.

HELPING SECURE THE FUTURE OF THE JUNGLE HUT

Jungle Lifeline CIC will be the organisation behind The Jungle Experience, and we're incredibly proud to be helping The Jungle Hut take its next step after nearly nine years.

We've been given an amazing opportunity to create something bigger and better — but we essentially have to build it from scratch.

As a young Community Interest Company, many of the funding opportunities available to more established organisations simply aren't open to us yet. That's why community and business support is so important right now.

We'll be putting in our own money, time and a huge amount of hands-on work, but we can't do this alone.

The difficult reality is that The Jungle Hut has to move from its current premises, and without enough support to get The Jungle Experience off the ground, its future could be at risk.

We don't want nearly nine years of education, animal care and community work to end here.

We want to give it a future. 💚

Whether it's a donation, a share, materials, business support or simply introducing us to someone who may be able to help — it all matters.

With everything we have going on behind the scenes at the moment, here's another exciting milestone to share...

We are incredibly proud to announce that, through Jungle Lifeline CIC, The Jungle Ranger has officially become a CPD Accredited Provider with The CPD Group, helping him take his wildlife education to the next level and reach even more people.

Behind the scenes, The Jungle Ranger is now hard at work developing his very own reptile-based CPD course for ages 16+, which will be submitted for CPD accreditation . The aim is to provide aspiring reptile keepers, educators and wildlife enthusiasts with a recognised qualification focused on responsible reptile husbandry, welfare and conservation.

At the same time, he is also putting the finishing touches to The Jungle Ranger Academy, launching this September for our Home Education students. This brand-new structured learning programme has been created to inspire the next generation of reptile keepers and conservationists through hands-on experiences, engaging lessons and clear progression routes.

This is only the beginning. We've got so much to share with you over the next few months, and I genuinely can't wait to bring you all along on this journey.

Something exciting is growing behind the scenes at Jungle Lifeline CIC… 🌿

For the past 9 years, The Jungle Hut has inspired children and families through wildlife education, rescue work, conservation awareness, and hands-on experiences — helping people connect with the natural world in meaningful ways.

Now, we are working towards the next step in that journey.
While we can’t share too much at the moment, we are exploring an opportunity that could help us build the future foundation of Jungle Lifeline CIC and expand everything we are passionate about.

Our vision is to create a place where we can:

🌎 Bring more families face-to-face with exotic wildlife
🌿 Create immersive rainforest-inspired education experiences

On the 13th April, Jungle Lifeline received something truly special…

We were deeply honoured to receive a letter from the office of H.R.H. The Prince of Wales office acknowledging our work in wildlife education, conservation, and inspiring young people to protect endangered species and vital habitats.

As a small family-run organisation, moments like this remind us why we continue to do what we do every single day.

From rescuing and caring for animals, to educational sessions at The Jungle Hut, to encouraging the next generation to care about our natural world — this recognition means more than words can express.

This letter is not just for us… it belongs to every child, every family, and every person who believes wildlife and rainforests are worth fighting for. 💚

What an amazing two days it has been celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s 100th Birthday!

Over the past two days, we’ve loved meeting so many wonderful families, sharing our passion for wildlife, and showing people what our mission at Jungle Lifeline CIC is all about — helping to educate, inspire, and bring people closer to nature.

Seeing children and adults connect with wildlife, ask questions, and leave smiling reminds us exactly why we do what we do. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported us during this special celebration.

Solihull Conservation Event Brings Orangutan Ambassador to Umberslade This June

A unique, family-friendly conservation event is coming to the heart of Solihull this summer, as Louie: Voice for the Wild takes place on Saturday 21st June at Umberslade Adventure

Hosted by Jungle Lifeline, a new local Community Interest Company, the event aims to inspire families across Solihull and the surrounding Warwickshire area to learn more about rainforest conservation and the threats facing endangered species such as Orangutans.

At the heart of the event is Louie the Orangutan, a life-sized animatronic orangutan who has become a powerful ambassador for conservation across the UK. Through storytelling and interaction, Louie helps children and adults emotionally connect with wildlife and understand how everyday choices made here in the UK can impact forests thousands of miles away.

The event is proudly supported by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), highlighting the importance of sustainable palm oil in protecting rainforest habitats. The woodland event space has been generously provided by Umberslade Adventure, allowing the experience to take place in a natural outdoor setting that reflects the event’s conservation message.

While final event plans are still being confirmed, Louie: Voice for the Wild will feature family-friendly activities, conservation storytelling, and opportunities to meet Louie throughout the day.

Jungle Lifeline CIC is also calling on local sustainable and eco-conscious market traders, as well as local businesses who may wish to support the event through sponsorship, funding, or the loan of event equipment, to be part of this community-led conservation day.

“We wanted to create something meaningful right here in our local area,” says Darren Edwards, Founder of Jungle Lifeline CIC.
“We’re aware the date falls on Father’s Day, but we feel that makes it even more special — a few hours where families can spend quality time together, learn something new, and make a real difference. It’s about giving families a day out that matters, and showing that conservation can start at home.”

As we step into 2026, our focus is clear — this is the year we truly want grow Jungle Lifeline CIC.

To do that, we’re starting the year with an important step forward.

We’re delighted to share that John Ahern will be moving from a member to a director of Jungle Lifeline CIC, working alongside founder Darren Edwards.

John brings with him a wealth of enthusiasm, fresh ideas, and a strong background as a care consultant, alongside years of supporting meaningful community-led projects. His passion for people, purpose, and positive change makes him an incredibly important asset as Jungle Lifeline continues to grow.

Together, we’re committed to building a CIC that supports wildlife, education, and conservation in a way that is honest, impactful, and rooted in community.
