Solihull Conservation Event Brings Orangutan Ambassador to Umberslade This June

A unique, family-friendly conservation event is coming to the heart of Solihull this summer, as Louie: Voice for the Wild takes place on Saturday 21st June at Umberslade Adventure

Hosted by Jungle Lifeline, a new local Community Interest Company, the event aims to inspire families across Solihull and the surrounding Warwickshire area to learn more about rainforest conservation and the threats facing endangered species such as Orangutans.

At the heart of the event is Louie the Orangutan, a life-sized animatronic orangutan who has become a powerful ambassador for conservation across the UK. Through storytelling and interaction, Louie helps children and adults emotionally connect with wildlife and understand how everyday choices made here in the UK can impact forests thousands of miles away.

The event is proudly supported by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO), highlighting the importance of sustainable palm oil in protecting rainforest habitats. The woodland event space has been generously provided by Umberslade Adventure, allowing the experience to take place in a natural outdoor setting that reflects the event’s conservation message.

While final event plans are still being confirmed, Louie: Voice for the Wild will feature family-friendly activities, conservation storytelling, and opportunities to meet Louie throughout the day.

Jungle Lifeline CIC is also calling on local sustainable and eco-conscious market traders, as well as local businesses who may wish to support the event through sponsorship, funding, or the loan of event equipment, to be part of this community-led conservation day.

“We wanted to create something meaningful right here in our local area,” says Darren Edwards, Founder of Jungle Lifeline CIC.
“We’re aware the date falls on Father’s Day, but we feel that makes it even more special — a few hours where families can spend quality time together, learn something new, and make a real difference. It’s about giving families a day out that matters, and showing that conservation can start at home.”

Further details will be announced soon.

As we step into 2026, our focus is clear — this is the year we truly want grow Jungle Lifeline CIC.

To do that, we’re starting the year with an important step forward.

We’re delighted to share that John Ahern will be moving from a member to a director of Jungle Lifeline CIC, working alongside founder Darren Edwards.

John brings with him a wealth of enthusiasm, fresh ideas, and a strong background as a care consultant, alongside years of supporting meaningful community-led projects. His passion for people, purpose, and positive change makes him an incredibly important asset as Jungle Lifeline continues to grow.

Together, we’re committed to building a CIC that supports wildlife, education, and conservation in a way that is honest, impactful, and rooted in community.

Here’s to a year of growth, collaboration, and being a lifeline for wildlife and wild places.

As we prepare to step into 2026, we wanted to share a quiet moment of reflection.
Jungle Lifeline CIC is still young — like a seed in the rainforest. Small, but growing. 🌱

We believe that when rainforests are protected, respected, and truly loved, Mother Nature has an incredible ability to heal, recover, and regrow. Jungle Lifeline was planted with that same belief — that even small beginnings can grow into something powerful when nurtured with care, patience, and purpose.

Looking ahead to 2026, our first major milestone is already taking shape.
June will mark our first large-scale event, Louie: Voice for the Wild — the starting point of our plans to raise awareness, inspire families, and support conservation-led action.

We won’t pretend the journey is easy. As a young CIC, funds are limited, and challenges are part of the path. But with the encouragement, belief, and support of the incredible companies already standing alongside us, we are determined to keep growing — one step at a time.

As the year draws to a close, we want to thank everyone who has helped plant and nurture this seed so far, and wish you all a wonderful New Year.

Here’s to growth, hope, and a greener future 🌍

This Christmas, we reflect on a year shaped by connection, care, and commitment to the wild.

At the heart of it all is a single mission: to bring people closer to nature — and to protect the rainforests and wildlife that need us most.

🌿 Jungle Lifeline CIC exists to support conservation, rewilding, and education — turning awareness into action and helping protect fragile ecosystems around the world.

🦎 The Jungle Rangers Jungle Hut is where that mission becomes personal — a place of discovery, learning, and wonder, where families and young explorers connect with wildlife and leave inspired to care.

🦧 And Louie, our voice for the wild — creating ripples through storytelling and presence, helping people of all ages understand what it truly means to be a guardian of the rainforest and a protector of orangutans.
Different paths. One shared heartbeat.

As the year draws to a close, we want to thank every supporter, family, partner, and believer who has walked this journey with us. Your support helps turn small moments into lasting impact.

From all of us — and from the jungle — we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a hopeful New Year filled with wild places worth protecting. 🌍💚

We’re so happy to share that this year’s Voices of Hope has featured not only Look, It’s Louie, but Jungle Lifeline as well! 💚
To be mentioned alongside so many incredible organisations working to protect orangutans and their forests is truly overwhelming. We’re only a small family-run project here in the UK, so seeing our name included gives us real hope that what we’re doing is making a difference.
Thank you to everyone who supports us and believes in our mission. It means more than you know. 🧡

As Orangutan Caring Week comes to a close, we’re so proud of our ambassador Louie for sharing his voice, his heart, and his message all week long.

Jungle Lifeline may only be a small part of the wider conservation effort, but seeing Louie inspire conversations, questions, and compassion reminds us exactly why he was created — to spark that first connection between people and orangutans, and to help spread hope for their future. 🧡

We want to thank everyone who has followed along, shared Louie’s posts, and shown support for orangutan conservation. And a huge thank you to the incredible rehabilitation centres and frontline organisations working tirelessly to save Louie’s wild cousins every day.

Together, we keep the hope alive.
Together, we are a Voice for the Wild.

Hi friends, it’s Louie here 🦧— and today is Day Seven, the final day of Orangutan Caring , Week.

It has been truly amazing taking part in this week with you all. Seeing so many people care, share, and learn has filled me with so much hope.

Like everything in life, being noticed takes time.
Understanding takes time.

And sometimes, it takes a little spark to help people see why something matters.
That’s why I was created — to bring people a little closer to Orangutans, to help them feel that first spark of love and curiosity. And when that spark appears, the questions start… the conversations begin… and slowly, people feel the urge to help, to protect, and to spread hope for my wild cousins.

Look, It’s Louie is only a small part of a huge global conservation effort.
There are incredible rehabilitation centres and dedicated teams on the front line every single day, saving orangutans and fighting for the forests they call home. They are the real heroes.

But we believe Louie can still be a Voice for the Wild — reaching people far from the rainforest, and offering a hand of hope from thousands of miles away.

Thank you for being part of this week…
Thank you for caring…
And thank you for helping carry this message forward.

Together, we can keep that spark alive — and turn it into a future full of hope for all Orangutans. 🧡

As part of Orangutan Caring Week, our amazing ambassador Louie has been sharing messages of hope, family, and positive action — reminding us all that when we care for nature, we care for each other. 💚

Head over to Orangutan Caring to follow their journey and see how small actions can make a big difference for orangutans and their rainforest homes. 🌏🧡

Hi friends, it’s Louie here again! 🦧

It’s Day Three of Orangutan Caring Week, and today’s theme is all about hope — the kind that grows when we care for one another and take action together.

In the wild, orangutan families share one of the strongest bonds on Earth. Mothers care for their babies for up to eight years, teaching them everything they need to survive — patience, resilience, and love. 🧡

That same spirit of care is what gives me hope for our future.
Every act of kindness — from protecting forests, to supporting conservation, to simply sharing these messages — helps build a world where both people and wildlife can thrive.

So today, let’s celebrate that connection, and remember: hope isn’t something we wait for… it’s something we create. 💚

Louie, our orangutan ambassador, has an important action message for Orangutan Caring Week! 🌿

Together, we can make a difference and give a true Voice for the Wild.

Louie here and it's the first day of Orangutan Caring at week!

Why should we care about Orangutans?
Today, I want to talk about something just as important: how we can turn that care into action.

Every time we shop, we have the power to make choices that protect rainforests — and the Orangutans who call them home.

By choosing products made with sustainable palm oil, supporting eco-friendly brands, and reducing waste, we help keep forests standing and wildlife safe.
It might seem small, but every positive choice adds up — because when we protect the forests, we protect my family too.

Together, we can be the difference.

Help Bring Louie’s Conservation Tour to Life🙏🏻
We’re raising funds to get my UK Conservation Tour off the ground — sharing hope, education, and action across the country.
With support from the RSPO, we’re proving that sustainable choices really can save lives.

This special week is dedicated to raising awareness and inspiring action to protect one of our closest relatives — the incredible orangutan. Their rainforest homes are disappearing fast, but together we can make a difference.
Join us this week as we share stories, facts, and ways you can help give orangutans a brighter future. 💚

🦧 Orangutan Caring Week begins tomorrow! 🌿

In a world where it can be hard enough to get people to care — even about each other — how do we get them to care about orangutans, and care enough to take action?

As orangutans face growing threats from deforestation, habitat loss, and illegal trade, we’re spending the next seven days exploring one powerful question: Why should we care about orangutans?

Each day, we’ll share a reason that reminds us how deeply connected we all are — and how caring is the first step toward action, and action is what creates hope.

Join us this week, share our posts, and help spread the message that caring still matters — for orangutans, for the forests, and for our shared planet we all call home. 💚🌏
