Sunday, 1st November is our last normal operating day for the 2026 season.

It's also our Charity Day, where we donate all our fares to BBC Children in Need, while our Tearoom donates all income to Queenscourt, which provides access to Specialist Palliative Care in our local community.

Please do support these two fantastic charities.

Trains depart from 11.30 and operate every 30 minutes until 4.30pm. Travel all day on your ticket.

Our tearoom will be serving delicious teas, coffee, and cakes.

A fun Autumn afternoon for the family. A famous Bear may be spotted.

IMPORTANT STORM BOELO UPDATE

With regret, we have decided to cancel today's steam train operations due to the ongoing strong winds. Our railway runs through established tall trees, and we have judged the risk of one of them coming down in the storm to be too great. Our tearoom is also closed due to storm damage.

Our next operation day is next Sunday, our Charity Day, where all our fares are donated to BBC Children in Need, and our tearoom receipts go to Queenscourt fundraising. Please do come along to support. Trains from 11.15.

In steam today, Montalban, built in 1913 for a Spanish coal mine railway. Restored at the West Lancashire Light Railway in 1988. Montalban is a very popular engine.

Trains run from 11:15 and depart every 30 minutes until 16.30. Tickets are valid for travel all day.

Our tearoom is open serving delicious teas, coffees and cakes.

It's Pumpkin Sunday at the West Lancashire Light Railway.

Travelling Children get a FREE Pumpkin. Pumpkin colouring - design your own Pumpkin.

Tickets are valid for Travel all day. Ride as much as you like.

Two engines in steam. Trains every 30 minutes from 11.15 am to 4.30 pm.

Tea room open and fireman's shovel hot food.

Pumpkin Sunday, this Sunday. Take a Heritage narrow-gauge steam train to collect your locally grown Pumpkin. Trains from 11.15 and every 30 minutes until 4.30pm. Travel all day on your ticket.
