We’d love to feature your photos in the next edition of The Scottie newsletter.
All we need is a photo of your favourite Scottie sculpture and a short note telling us why that Scottie was your favourite.

STECS 50th birthday party was pretty special, wasn’t it?
From start to finish it was fun, loud, full of laughter, catching up with longstanding friends, making new friends, fussing over amazing dogs and just being around people who truly understand what it is to be owned by Scotties.

Thank you to Cath, Elaine, Margaret, Gill and all the Trustees and other volunteers who do so much for STECS - and who have over the past 50 years - you are truly angels for all you do for our 4-legged friends - Renata Holdsworth

What an amazing day celebrating the STECS Scottie Rescue's Summer 50th Anniversary Party! ☀️🐾

The weather was incredibly good to us, allowing for wonderful celebrations both inside and outside the hall. We were absolutely thrilled to see so many Scotties (and their four-legged friends!) accompanied by their wonderful pawrents and families. Everyone was in high spirits and having a brilliant time.

❤️ A massive THANK YOU to everyone who attended and supported us today.
👏 To our volunteers and trustees: thank you for the months of planning and for working so hard to make today such a huge success.
🎁 To everyone who donated: we truly appreciate your generosity.

STECS 50th Anniversary Summer Party!
Join us as we celebrate 50 incredible years of Scottish Terrier rescue, community, and compassion. This golden milestone deserves a truly joyful gathering — and we’d love you to be part of it.

• Elaine’s famous £10 Scottie Gold Rush Tombola
• Raffles, Guess the Name, 50/50 and more
• Food Fairy catering with hot & cold food plus drinks

Could your STECS Scottie be one of the stars of the STECS 2027 Calendar?

We’re on the lookout for our next set of models — adopted STECS Scotties who’d love to feature in our 2027 calendar. Your Scottie can shine solo or pose with their adopted brothers, sisters, or four‑legged friends.

We’re aiming to capture all seasons, so feel free to send photos taken throughout the year.

📌 A few helpful house rules:

Photos can be taken on your mobile phone . Most mobile phones take perfect-quality shots. Landscape or Portrait.

Think about your surroundings — a tiny Scottie in a huge empty field won’t quite make the cut. Look back in your phone album. Do you have any sessional pics you would like to send us.

Natural action shots are especially welcome.

Please do not crop or photoshop your photos, as this reduces resolution.

A maximum of two photos per entry, ideally taken in different months.

Email your photos to [email protected] along with your name and your STECS Scottie’s name.

🗓️ Entries close at midnight on 17th April 2026.
