Emma Cameron Foundation

Emma Cameron Foundation Hi and welcome to the Emma Cameron Foundation. Please see our website for more info and how you can support our charity.

The Emma Cameron Foundation has been established to provide support for those organisations and charities that supported Emma during her treatment and surgery for her osteosarcoma. We aim to use Emma’s experiences during her cancer treatment of the support given to her by various charitable and non charitable organisations to direct our funds towards those organisations in providing services that

Emma got benefit from. Emma’s attitude and memory spurs us on to help others. Emma died on 1st April 2011 some 15 months after a diagnosis of an osteosarcoma in her right leg. During this time Emma was given regular chemotherapy with all the associated side effects, an above knee amputation and surgery on her lung. She also had to deal with a terminal diagnosis for several months. Emma loved life and lived it in all its fullness. She met celebrities and royalty, JLS, Princess Anne and Ricky Whittle amongst others. She was a mascot for Ross County at the Scottish Cup Final. She enjoyed travelling including a trip to Lapland and a special weekend at Prestwick house. Emma continued to go to school up until 10 days before her death including just a fortnight before she died an adventure week at an Outdoor Centre at Loch Long. She baked (deliciously), cooked and even started growing her own vegetables. She kept her dad and sister busy with constant activity and when she was too tired to go out a 1000 piece jigsaw would be on the go in the house. Emma is a source of inspiration to many and even carried out her own fundraising whilst very ill, including a β€œyard” sale and a fun day at her school, Torrance primary School. She remained a regular at her local Girls Brigade. The Emma Cameron Foundation is an SCIO (Number SCO42512)
