1st and 4th Rainhill Guides have made the most of the sunshine this term, packing their programmes with brilliant outdoor adventures.

Both units teamed up with our Brownie groups for outdoor challenges and a camp‑skills evening — thank you to our Guides for giving the younger girls a glimpse into what lies ahead.

This term also brought new experiences: a weekend camp at Guys Farm in Lancaster, a map‑reading skills evening, building a stretcher, outdoor cooking, and joining in with Woodbank’s 45th Birthday celebrations alongside Merseyside Guides.

Guides are aged 10 to 14 years and meet on Wednesdays 7.30pm to 9pm and Thursdays 7.45pm to 9pm during term time.

If your daughter - or her friends - would like to start an exciting new adventure with us in September please register here: https://www.girlguiding.org.uk/information-for-parents/register-a-child/

A huge thank you to the wonderful members of Move it or Lose it with Chris for presenting Henley Park R Division with an amazing £400 from their fundraising this year 🙌🏻

This generous donation gives a fantastic boost to our funds and will help our Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers enjoy even more brilliant activities on our upcoming Activity Days.

We’re so grateful for your support 😊💙

🎉 Huge Congratulations to Diane Davies! 🎉

We’re incredibly proud of Diane Davies, our Division Commissioner and dedicated Rainbow & Brownie Leader, who was nominated by a fellow guider to attend the Girlguiding Celebrates event earlier this month.

Held in London’s West End, the afternoon recognised outstanding volunteers who go above and beyond to make a real difference in their communities. 💙

Thank you, Diane, for everything you do. Your commitment and energy inspire us all! 🙌🏻

✨ Rainhill Brownies Making a Big Difference This Month! ✨

Our 2nd and 5th Rainhill Brownie Units have had an action‑packed month — full of community spirit, courage, and kindness.

🐍 Brave Brownies!
The girls showed amazing confidence meeting all our visitors from Dylan's Reptile Time.

🚁 Supporting NW Air Ambulance
At this year’s Rainhill Gala, the Brownies proudly helped on the NW Air Ambulance stall to complete their Charity Badge, after fundraising for them throughout the year. They also worked hard helping on our own Brownie stall.

📚 100+ Books Shared Around the Village
Over 100 books were hidden and shared around Rainhill for families to find, enjoy, and pass on. This has become a much‑loved annual tradition in our calendar — spreading joy, reading, and a sense of community.

🐶 Next Mission: Sponsor a Guide Dog Puppy!
The Brownies have now chosen their next fundraising challenge: raising money to sponsor a Guide Dog puppy.

🌟 Well done Brownies — we’re so proud of you! 🌟

🌼 A MONTH OF MESSY FUN! 🌼

April has been full of hands‑on creativity, new members, and plenty of joyful mess across all our units!

🌈 Rainbows
Our Rainbows welcomed new members and enjoyed making gloop and working on their First Aid Skills Builder by completing the Mend a Friend activity — cleaning grazes, applying plasters, and bandaging their dolls.

💛 Brownies 💙 Guides & 🤍 Rangers
These units also welcomed new members and joined together for a lively, messy evening!
They cooked pancakes over tealights, made lip balm, played a water team game, created bubbles, and tried marble painting — with lots of laughter and noise along the way. Some Guides also completed a Skills Builder using paints.

🌺 Trefoil Guild
The Trefoil Guild enjoyed an entertaining talk, Tales of a Customs Officer, shared by Brian Topping — a wonderful evening full of stories and smiles.

2nd Rainhill Brownies completed their Charities badge by visiting The Hope Centre Food Bank in St Helens. They learned about the centre’s vital work and helped date and sort the generous donations they had collected.

5th Rainhill Brownies and 2nd & 5th Rainhill Rainbows have been gathering Easter eggs for the East Liverpool RDA Stables Easter Egg Hunt taking place in Rainhill on 4th April.

Two Guides from 4th Rainhill have been working hard on their Thrift badge, collecting and donating an impressive amount to a local charity shop.

4th Rainhill Guides enjoyed making delicious Easter cheesecakes inside Easter eggs to share with their families.

1st Rainhill Guides have been progressing through their Skills Builders and welcomed a new member to the unit.

Henley Park Trefoil Guild spent an evening at The Hope Centre too, putting together beautiful Moses baskets for new mums and their babies.

🐰 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜
Brownies were thrilled by a visit from the White Rabbit at their Easter celebration.

Rainbows met Peter Rabbit, who had the very important job of judging their Easter Bonnet competition!

A huge well done to all the girls for their enthusiasm and kindness, and a heartfelt thank you to all our amazing Leaders for their continued dedication and volunteering. 💙
