And we are SO excited! 😍

On Friday 20th November, Innovate Volunteering is hosting our very first Paint Party at Bryer Road Community Centre, and we’re planning a proper fun, festive night. 🩷

And please don’t think “I can’t paint!” because you absolutely do NOT need to be able to paint. 😂

This is FUN ART, NOT FINE ART! 🎨

You’ll be guided step-by-step to create something absolutely gorgeous to take home with you, all your materials are provided, so you literally just need to turn up, grab a drink and enjoy yourself.

🥂 We have a licensed venue, and your £35 ticket also includes a complimentary glass of Prosecco or soft drink

So whether you fancy…

✨ A Christmas night out with your friends
✨ Doing something a bit different instead of the usual meal/drinks
✨ Coming on your own and meeting some new people
✨ A little Christmas get-together for your staff or team

💜 We are deeply saddened by the news that PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Su***de has gone into administration.

This news feels particularly close to home for us at Innovate Volunteering CIC.

Both of our Directors have previously worked for PAPYRUS as Su***de Prevention Advisors and completed su***de prevention training with the organisation. The knowledge, skills and understanding gained through that work have stayed with us and continue to influence the way we support people within our communities today.

For 30 years, PAPYRUS has played such an important role in su***de prevention, supporting young people, families, communities and professionals, as well as educating so many people about how we can have conversations that may quite literally save lives.

To see an organisation that has made such a significant contribution close in this way is incredibly sad.

Our thoughts are also very much with the dedicated staff who have worked tirelessly within the organisation and who are now facing the sudden loss of their jobs, as well as with everyone who has relied upon PAPYRUS and its HOPELINE247 service for support.

The need for su***de prevention hasn't gone away. 💜

And today feels like an important reminder of just how vital it is that we continue to talk about su***de, continue to equip people with the confidence and skills to have difficult conversations, and continue to make sure people know where they can turn when they need support.

💻 Do you know someone who needs help to get online? Login LCR is a digital inclusion initiative designed to support Knowsley residents who are currently unable to access or confidently use online services.

If your application is successful and you complete the training session, you will receive:

✅ A free Lenovo K9 Android tablet or Chromebook
✅ A SIM card with 6 months of free Vodafone connectivity
✅ A Mi-Fi mobile hotspot device for portable internet access

All successful applicants must attend a mandatory 3-hour training session held at a Knowsley library. The session is friendly, supportive and suitable for beginners.

To be eligible, you must:

✅ Be aged 18 or over
✅ Live in Knowsley
✅ Be willing and able to attend a full 3-hour training session in a Knowsley library
✅ Be genuinely digitally excluded
