Motiv8 engages with young people and supports them in accessing better life chances. Motiv8 works with young people across the South East Hampshire area.

Support is given from dedicated staff and includes; 1-to-1 mentoring, targeted group work and Open Access activities that promote Personal and Social Development. Motiv8 works from within the community and has delivery at the heart of each of the communities, including, Portsmouth, Gosport, Havant, Fareham and surrounds.

Head of Youth Voice and Partnerships, Sophie, and members of the Portsmouth team hosted a fantastic feedback event last weekend 🙌🏼 Providing a wonderful opportunity to meet with local residents as part of Pride in Place, Landport 💙

Thank you to all of those that joined us and took the time to tell us what you love about the area alongside improvements you’d like to see within your local community. Once each visitor had shared their thoughts, they got to enjoy lots of fun activities… one young person told us that their fruit smoothie from the smoothie bike was the best drink they’d ever had! 🙌🏼🍓🍊🫐🚲

We hope we brightened your rainy Saturday! ☔️ Hearing directly from residents really did brighten ours 😌

Home should be the place where young people feel safest 💙

But for many young people, home can be the source of significant stress.

Last quarter, more than 1 in 7 safeguarding concerns involved family conflict, relationship breakdowns or difficulties within the home environment.

When things are difficult at home, it can affect every part of a young person's life. You might see then start to struggle at school. Friendships can break down or be formed in unhealthy or high-risk environments. Mental and physical health declines. Confidence is eroded and future aspirations take a back seat as survival mode takes the wheel.

That's why Motiv8 support matters to young people across Gosport, Fareham, Havant and Portsmouth 💙
