Last week’s bat walk!
15 people joined for a free bat walk in Southway. What a fascinating evening, learning and hearing bats in our area!🦇🌒

We saw bats and we heard bats!
Southway was joined by the Devon Bat Group and National Marine park for a twilight walk in search of bats🦇
Devon Bat Group gave an informative chat on bat species, what they eat, how they use their echolocation and so much more cool info!
We got to borrow a bat detector (Magenta), this allowed us to hear the bats, we humans cannot hear bats without one!
What a great, free activity! 🦇🌒

I had the honour of nominating some of Southway's wonderful volunteers to attend last week’s celebration of our Community Connectors.
Our Community Builders organised the event to recognise and thank the incredible work our Connectors do across the city, bringing people together, sharing their time and skills, and helping create stronger, more connected communities.
Thank you so much to every person who spares their time to help and support Southway and the wider city.
Because when we come together, we are stronger together. 💚

A huge thank you to all of our Community Connectors for everything you do!
