Our team of volunteers will keep thriving serving the site and our community for 2023.

We have weekly, monthly and yearly events onsite should you wish to contribute in improving the place, pick up new skills and build up your CV, socialise, get outdoors and make a difference to our local community.

Here’s some pictures to share what’s been happening and some ventures in the pipeline :

The carved Totem (by Tommy O’Neil🙏) is in place and lights up at night.

We are applying to the council for permission to install an hexagonal oak bench around the main Yew tree -now a focal area of the site- on the flat area adjacent to the notice board (see the drawing).

We think this is also the ideal place to locate some strong metal hoops to lock up bicycles safely while visiting the site 🚲 and encourage the public to get outdoor and cycle to the Holywell 💪🏽

That same area will also accommodate disability & electric scooters, prams..also our own equipment while working onsite (wheelbarrows, tools, Kayac etc) so the main paths can stay SAFE & unobstructed for pedestrians .

We have added a safety rail (picture) and opened the first pond for better water access in the summer - watering plants- and so visitors can peacefully watch the wildlife : notably our healthy ducks , moorhens , herons ..🦆.

Our volunteers daily carry out tasks on and offsite! to keep improving and sharing our beloved nature reserve , ancient monument and community place.

Thank you to them, our supporters, visitors and donations allowing us to deliver these projects for you 🙌
