Notice - 8 June 2026 Tai Chi at Burghley Park Cancelled

Unfortunately, today’s Burghley Park Tai Chi session has been cancelled due to rain and wet ground conditions.

For health and safety reasons, the grass and surfaces may become slippery and unsafe for Tai Chi practice, so we have made the decision to cancel the session.

Our next Burghley Park Tai Chi session will take place on Monday 15 June 2026. We look forward to seeing you then.

☯️Dear all,
We have been on standby for today’s lesson, however it has been pouring with rain this morning.

The grassland will be very wet and slippery, which makes it unsafe to practise Tai Chi on the green, so unfortunately we have made the decision to cancel today’s Ferry Meadows Tai Chi session.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We look forward to seeing you all again next Saturday for Tai Chi ☯️
Please note that we will be at Peterborough Cathedral on 13th June.
We are back at Ferry Meadows on 20th June

☯️Ferry Meadows Tai Chi

Dear all,
Tomorrow’s Ferry Meadows Tai Chi session (10:30am to 12pm, 6 June 2026) is currently going ahead as planned.
The weather forecast shows light rain and a moderate breeze. As we all know, forecasts can change quickly, so we will still be there ready for the lesson unless the weather becomes too heavy or unsafe.
If the rain becomes heavy, we may need to cancel the session at short notice tomorrow morning. Please keep an eye on:

🌿 **Burghley Park Tai Chi – Earlier Start This Monday 1 June** 🌿

Thank you to everyone who has shared feedback with us about the recent hot weather. After listening to our Tai Chi participants and gaining permission from Burghley House, we are going to trial an earlier start time this coming Monday.

🕤 **This Monday’s session will be 9:30am to 11:00am**

We hope this will make the session more comfortable during the warmer weather.

If it is really hot, we will not be practising under the sun in the open space. We will find a shaded area nearby so everyone can enjoy Tai Chi more safely and comfortably. This is with permission from Burghley House.

📍 **Where to find us:**
Please go to our usual meeting spot first, then follow the gravel footpath until you reach the crossing point. We will be in the shade by the path — you won’t miss us!

If 9:30am feels too early for you, you are very welcome to arrive at **10:00am**. You may miss the warm-up, but you can still join the main Tai Chi practice.

Thank you all for your support, flexibility and wonderful energy. We look forward to seeing you at beautiful Burghley Park. 🌳✨
