Yesterday members of our ships company attended the annual Military Day event at Trebah Gardens.

This year marks 82 years since US soldiers left Trebah Beach for the landings at Normandy. On June 1st 1944, 7500 American Soldiers of the 29th US Infantry Division boarded 10 LST (Landing Ship, Tank) landing craft, crossing the English Channel to Omaha beach in Normandy.

We had the special privilege this year to be part of this event and to remember the soldiers who left these shores, possibly for the last time to fight for the freedoms we have today.

It was an amazing to see so many supporters and members of the public who came to support this event and remember all those who took part in D-Day, 82 years ago.

We Will Remember them.

Well that's day 1 completed. Cadets learnt everything from how to treat a nosebleed, to CPR, broken bones to asthma. It's been a really busy day and the heat hasn't helped but the cadets have done fantastic today.

They have another morning of training tomorrow and their exam in the afternoon so good look to them all.

BZ and good luck.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Volunteer with us! ๐Ÿ“ฃ

We are looking for new volunteers to help make a positive impact on young people in the area. There are various roles available, such as teaching sailing, first aid or seamanship, through to helping run our buildings and raise funds to support our activities.

No Military experience or specific qualifications are needed, just enthusiasm and a willingness to be part of the team. All volunteers receive support and training to feel comfortable in their roles.

The unit is open Mondays and Thursday evenings from 18:30 - 21:00 at our base on Commercial Road in Penryn.

Message us by email: [email protected] or on facebook for more information, or to find out how to get involved๐Ÿšฃ
